Dems show their true colors on this medicare bill...

I laughed when I heard that almost 50% of the billions are going
straight off the top to Large Corporations to bail out their retired benefits programs and also the States rural areas to assist those medicaid programs..

Nothing to do with Prescription benefits...

In the time it took you to write that post, about $500M tax dolalrs went to people whose lives are mostly over.

There's nothing like investing in the past, huh?

Yeah, Ronald Reagan, Donald Rumsfeld, Sam Walton and the realtor who just got me my house are just a few examples of folks who had no contribution to make to society once they reached age 70.

not really sure what you are saying there.

Most people's production stops by 70 or so...kyudos to those who don't..

my overriding point is that all economic policy should favor production and the people who do it - social programs are the antithesis of this.

if a producer is 80 or 20 it shouldn't matter...

I'm for privatization of the whole shibang. Also think of how much we could save if it were at least need-based like welfare. Do Ross Perot or Bob Barker really need for taxpayers to buy their prescription drugs?
