No worries. You're not there yet. I did the same thing several years ago. I revisited it a year or so ago and re-read everything 4 or 5 times, plus was in a place with my training where I knew one all out, balls to the wall, most fully intense rest-pause set you've ever tried to attempt in your life would be completely adequate to spur growth.

There's something about getting 16 reps with a weight you fail with at 8 reps. I am finishing up my current blast on Wednesday and then cruising for 12 days. I took a Friday off in the middle of this blast and without doing that I never would have made it 8 weeks. I think I will be taking a day off in the middle of every blast.

My last cruise I took a whole week off and then did a week of the three way split all straight setted. For this cruise I am going to keep my calories the same (high as fuck lol) just like I was blasting, but I will only be doing cardio. Have you tried anything similar to this while on a cruise?

With my metabolism, I really don't have to worry much about cardio. I take my dogs for a walk every day around the neighborhood at a pretty brisk pace. Depending on the route I take, there can be one or two small hills, or a couple of huge hills. The walk usually takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes. That is my cardio! That and the high amount of protein I consume (giving me a great thermogenic effect), pretty much eliminates my need for much, if any cardio. If I wanted to get down to 4-5%, I could do 95% of it through diet.

My cruises are usually a week off completely, then 2 weeks at about 60-70% of the weight with a little extra volume (one or two more sets). Then I'm psyched for my blast again.
