Dballer and other classic car people, what would you do???

NO. I've bought and traded a zillion restored vintage Brit imports for show and racing and anybody who is into this seriously keeps receipts. If you're planning to show the car, I'd find another one.

Unless your mechanic is someone with whom you do regular business, his recommendation isn't worth shit.

That's what I thought. I had a good and bad feeling about this car at the same time. It looked and drove pretty well. But I thought a dealership that deals exclusively with muscle cars would know better than not to have any receipts. Thanks alot guys...

never, ever, for any reason, trust a car dealer. never.

if a resto's actually worth that much (the car better be immaculate to justify that ask price), its had hundreds/thousands of hours of work done - and the owner did it for the love of the car, not the cash - and usually he'll be more than happy to talk your ear off about every part on it.

theres TONS of places on the web and at meets to find sellers - no need to take any risks or deal with professional swindlers.

JMHO

Daeo....

I am getting the pics of that car tonight or tommorow.

I also found out that he has NEW door panels and interior parts ... he said he just got the original bucket seats for it and it costed him $500 for those.

It is badass car man.
