Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below I broke my arm last week and I dont have med insurance. So I havent gone to the Doc to get a cast on it. It doesn't look deformed or anything so I just wrapped it with an ACE bandage and I am using a sling. I am a little worried though because I dont have full movement of my hand. I can only close my hand about half way. Is that normal to not be able to close my hand with a forearm break? And how long before I should start lifting again? I was 2 weeks into my 8 week cycle when this happened.

If the bone is not set right and it heals you will need to get it recracked and go in for surgery. NOW is the time to get it checked out -
I do not know how to deal with the insurance question though - head to a hospital and give them a fake name and ID maybe...Not sure....
How long it will take you to get back in the gym is dependent on the extent of the injury. I broke my wrist once and I waited two months before hitting the gym - I know others that went back in with light weights the second the cast came off though.
