After talking to my dad, yes flame away, he told me a couple of things.
The Jews, after world war 2, began buying massive amounts of land in former palistine from the palistinines. the jews eventually amassed enough real estate to fight for succession of an Isreali state. The Jews, according to my father, engaged in some of the worst terrorism for years in Europe & the Middle East, bombing civilian locations to win global recognition of Isreali soverignity. Eventually the UN, and other developed nations conceded, recognizing the new State of Isreal. But the point is, the Jews used the same tactics on Europeans 35 years ago, they now use as cannon fodder to justify escalations against palistinine seperatists factions .
Religous motivations. We're dealing with two highly charged religous ideologies, both of which endorse the killing and revenge of persons who threaten their own people. The Jews, historically, have made it known, for every 1 Isreali killed, 3 palistinines will die. Look at the recent death toll ratios. Its about 3 palistinines dead for every 1 Isreali. Apparently, the Jews are notourously spitefull and cold, both in their political policy and their business dealings. My father noted the New York textile sweat shops, alot of which are owned by Jews - employing immgrant labor at 10 cents an hour. That kind of thing.
A couple people noted US jewish funding of Isreal has nothing to do with the conflict. Thats a load of shit. Historically, american foreign policy has been so blantendly supportive of Isreal, and has played such a biased role in the peace process, palistinine representatives havent been given an equal opportunity in which to conduct negoitiations. Ironically, Bin Laden noted the US unconditional support of Isreal, militarly, financially, and politically, as one of the key factors which prompted his attack on Sept 11th. Why is America so supportive of Isreal? Because the Jews have such massive political and financial power in America, they can partially influence American foreign policy formation. But the problem with this is, the Arabs, working under the auspices of the OPEC oil cartel, have the ability to milk the west through restricted petroleum production = increase oil prices, and the procedes, at least to some extent, are channelled to the palistinines in Isreal. Its unproven. But think about it. Thats exactly whats going on. The more America intervenes with its biased redrick, and the more sharon cracks down on the palistinines, the oil rich Arabs willl just turn off the taps when they get pissed, and let us fund Palinstinine seperatists in Isreal.
My personal feeling on the situation is this . Both sides do not want peace. Both sides, the Isrealis, and the Palistinines, are equally guilty of inciting further conflict and not offering concillations to the other party to achieve a peaceful resolution. Both sides, to some extent enjoy the war. Or they would have ended it by now. Its a fucking nightmare over there. Both sides could stop the violence if they really wanted the peace bad enough. But they have no love for each other. Funny, how both their religions encourage love for the hethons, yet niether wants to extend a peacefull hand in the spirit friendship.
