Rest it out bro! It's pointless going all out either with low or high reps, antecipate things like taking breaks even when you are @ the top of your game! It's usually when we think we are made of steel when shit usually happens, just like that... out of the blue...

Best of luck and let us know what the doc said!
 
He reffered me to a sports doc but he said theres really no point because even if it is a tear theres nothing i can do except rehab it which i am doing now anyway. He said an MRI is a $5K test which is why its next to impossible to get them done these days with how shitty insurance companies are. I'm gonna get back on the grind monday, i will chop back up into upper and lower training and really baby the upper back. It has been feeling alot better since i have been resting but i think i need to give it alot longer then i think.
 
Met Phil Heath today. He came down to the gym to surprise one of our trainers who writes into flex magazine all the time and my buddy gave me the heads up he would be down there today. I didn't have time to stick around and get good pics taken so i had to suffice with one of him in the middle of a set. However i think i was in a few shots so i might show up in flex mag! lol The dude was fucking massive and had the SMALLEST waist i have even seen, true genetic freak! His calves looked like they were hanging off his shins!!!

Good news for once!!!!! Starting strongman training again on sept. 6th. I start school in a week so that should help me out with getting into a daily routine and not the summer life. I think i found out what is wrong with my back finally and i think its my neck! I guess there are these muscle on the side on your neck that are all over a big patch of nerves which go to your back, pecs and down your arm, EVERY SINGLE PLACE I HAVE BEEN IN PAIN PINPOINTED!!!!! And that muscle is tight as hell so i know thats gota be whats causing it. Gonna go to the Chiro or massage therapist and tell them and find out how long its gonna take to loosen the bitch up for good. I will stick with the high rep stuff until the week of the 6th and start heavy training and hopefully have a good event day on sunday the 6th.
 
i know every weightlifter hates to hear it but stay off it and give it time. I had a hip flexor that decided to tighten up on me and hurt like crazy when squatting...I laid off the squats, stretched it and it eventually loosened up. I know you know this.

Also, I've heard magnesium is natures muscle relaxant but am no doctor, nor have i tried it, but was considering it for stubborn hamstrings.
