Several persons are under arrest after customs officials at Oslo's main airport seized a record nine kilos of pure anabole steroids in powder form, plus 10,000 tablets sent from China. The seizure is the first of its kind in Norway.
The steroid powder was shipped in these plastic bags.

Chemists at the customs service's lab determined the powder to be the male hormone testosterone in highly concentrated form. Its purity was classified at 95 percent.
The testosterone in powder form was enough to make 90,000 doses of illegal steroids. It's the first time Norwegian authorities have seized such drugs, with earlier seizures coming entirely in the form of ready-made pills or capsules.
Police are convinced that those who ordered the dope shipments planned to thin out the powder to make pills or capsules in Norway, a process that would have generated a huge economic gain and which makes the seizure the biggest in Norwegian history.
The dope came in several shipments beginning in May, addressed to both a company and individuals in the small town of Elnesvågen, north of Molde, and in Nord-Trøndelag. Police in Sunnmøre made several arrests on Tuesday in a coordinated action against those listed as the would-be recipients of the dope.
The arrests resulted in additional seizures, and more are planned. Two of the men now in custody claimed the dope was intended for their personal use.
The sheer quantities involved lead police to think otherwise. It's also long been rumoured that local weightlifting groups in nearby Romsdal provide a market for the steroids, and that abusers are as young as 15.

Three men were arrested in the small town of Elnesvågen after customs officials seized nine kilos of 95-percent pure testosterone in powder form at Oslo's main airport. It's believed the powder was destined for production of illegal steroids.
They also seized a shipment of 34,000 tablets, sent from China and addressed to individuals in Elnesvågen. Another 35 ecstasy tablets and 50 grams of cocaine were found at the home of one of those arrested.
One of the men was released while another is subject to a remand hearing on Friday.
MILAN, July 16 (Reuters) - Italian police have busted an international ring that they believe illegally supplied steroids to U.S. soldiers in Iraq and people in a dozen different countries.
Two people have been arrested and a "significant" amount of performance-enhancing steroids and other drugs was seized, police in the northern Italian city of Trieste said in a statement on Saturday. Another eight people are being investigated.
The police said they had noticed strange movements at the post office, with hundreds of packages being sent to U.S. soldiers in Iraq and many of them being returned for reasons of "military security".
They uncovered a ring based in Trieste that allegedly sold steroids like nandrolone via the Internet, sending them to buyers across Europe, Australia, the United States and Canada.
