angel_girl: I just got back from a 14 month tour in Iraq as a combat infantryman in the US Army and I have to answer no to your question. Not only does the military NOT test for steroids (pot and others like coke to the best of my understanding) but not one person in my 170 person company was tested for drugs (at least that I knew of anyway, meaning they didn't hold regular whiz quizes). Not only that but in certain circles, the infantry being one of them, as long as you take care of yourself physically, most people don't ask what you are doing. If you get a guy who increases the overall PT test score for the company, why on earth would you bust his chops because he's fit. hehe, kinda like don't ask don't tell...

I'm not sure why guys in Iraq would even think of juicing. WAY too unclean in my book. I was two weeks into a cycle when I was deployed and I put the brakes on everything. You cannot imagine how nasty dirty that place is.

Take care. 11b

Thanks for taking the time to let me know how much it means to you. It's funny, agree with the US agenda in Iraq or not, it comes down to one simple thing; America's finest doing what they swore they would do.

I hear you though, and thanks for saying something.

i hate people who bad mouth the military. we are doing what we are told, and if we dont then we go to jail. even if you do not agree with the agenda it does not matter. you fight or go to jail. i still do not understand why people spit at the soldiers comming back from vietnam. all they did was what they were told. yea some of them took it to far but they were punished, dont punish the entire military because some ass's decided to go off and do stupid shit.

man how did i go off on this subject? seriously though, i did my time, got injured and medically retired. i begged to stay in until they tried to stab me in the back in the end. but that is not the military as a whole it was one person. after 7 surgeries they tried to say i was faking my injury. jealous people got mad i was being retired at 12 years instead of 20. but the military changed my life and i am greatful i did it.

true it does cost them a lot of money to test people..although i know several people who were charged in iraq for using coke....i doubt that they looked for any thing else..thank you for your input
Ive told you before that they dont test for that shit.cost to much.
