Beginner needing fat burning advice.

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum! It seems like an AWESOME PLACE!

Anyway, I need some advice on supplements. I have been active doing cardio (30 minutes on the treadmill every morning and high intensity aerobics twice a week), but I just recently REALLY got my diet in check, well, I think so anyway. I eat 2 eggs for breakfast and a 12 ounce protein shake(3 scoops of six star 25g per scoop) Baby carrots and almonds (about 7 of each) for a snack. Maybe a can of low sodium soup or half a roasted chicken breast sub with mustard and lots of veggies for lunch. I snack on carrot sticks all throughout the day. For Dinner I have a lean protein with brown rice and green veggies. I do not at the moment take any supplements. I am trying to figure out which one I want to try. I have really been researching clen and albuterol (not supplements, I know) but I don't feel that my body is at a point where I will see good results from either of those. Any suggestions from experienced users? I want to take a good fat burner. What is the best way to make and take an ECA stack cuz that seems to be very popular and safer than clen.

Help Please!!

welcome to elitefitness. I helped you out with a free plat. Makes it more easy to post and get around the site. You can put up a pick in your avi if you like not too.

Do you work out with weights???????

Your diet is not bad, but you're not eating enough protein and complex carbs. The first thing you need to do is have your diet in check, without that no supplements will help. Second, getting bulky is not that easy. You should lift heavy and I promise, you will burn body fat and get 'toned'. Women are not build to get huge, unless you intend to. You can look at a recent picture I posted on the "June competition preparation" thread. I lift very heavy and compete in figure.

You should have about 5 small meals a day.
This is a sample:

Meal#1 3 egg whites and 1/2 cup of oatmeal or cream of buckwheat.
#2 Protein shake
#3 Chicken breast or turkey or fish with salad and 1/2 cu of brown rice.
#4 Same as 3, but with vegetables or yams.
#5 Fish and vegetables

Have lots of water and green tea. Avoid processed food and sugary foods and drinks

This alone will get you in great shape. I promise! Then when you've lost some body fat and gotten stronger, you can get Lipoflame and lipostim3. These are a lot safer and still do the job, but first things first..

Not a lot. I don't want to bulk up right away, but I work about twice a week with light weights (15 lb dumbbells) and a lot of reps.

Woman getting huge and bulky of lifting weights is a myth. Unless you are taking steroids (and a lot of them) you will never get bulky and huge from lifting weights.

We have lots of woman here who lift like the men and they are, well lets just say they make my tongue hang out lol.

Yep! Men & Women are entirely different,I know a woman who is 5'5" squats 315 pounds but has the most beautiful set of legs i have even seen, the getting bulky is a myth unless you add chemical enhancement!
I agree with what Thandie said,Dial that diet in.
Later down the road if you still need to burn some fat Omega's Lipostim/lipoflame from AGX spports in my banner below does the job!

Diet sure looks good to me too. For strictly fatloss purposes your protein doesn't even need to be lean, as long as you aren't consuming more energy (calories) than you're expending. If what you'd really rather have is a burger, eat a burger! I eat mine w/o a bun with spicey mustard, single slice of american cheese and a big fat onion ring.

I might suggest starting by just adding some cardio work daily to see if that get's the bodyfat moving. You may not even need to spend any money on fatloss supps to reach your goal. Done with the proper intensity, your 30 minutes daily of cardio in the morning is enough to lose fat. I don't think 2x HIC is neccesary.

Determine your aerobic zone, and then make sure you are keeping your hr there. Use a hr monitor to check yourself. You should never get out of breath when doing cardio for purposes of fatburning. Exercise too long or with too high a hr and you stop burning fat and start burning lean body mass. More isn't better, unless you're trying to get skinnyfat. :)

If I read this right you are using 3 scoops of protein at 25mgs a scoop. If that is the case that is WAY too much protein. One scoop is probably about right per shake. Much more than that will not be processed and will be stored as fat.
I would drop down to one scoop. No more than 1.5 scoops tops!

If you are over 20% bodyfat - stay away from Albuterol, Clen and ECA.

Try LipoStim and LipoFlame from agxsports.com - let me know if you need dosing advice. I personally lost 4% bf when I first went on the stack.

Welcome to EF!!!

Oh, and lift weight girls. I would imagine you have seen some of our avi's and profile pics. We aren't bulky. And, we all lift HEAVY iron. Pick it up girl - you will see the best results of your life - and you'll feel great when you can wink at the manly wimp beside you in the squat rack.

Thanks a lot!! That sounds easy enough. I already avoid sugary foods and especially sugary drinks-I don't want to waste any calories on a drink-I prefer water. I haven't gotten into drinking green tea. I konw it is good for you, but I just don't think about it.

I did not know that about burning lean muscle mass!! Is that true?! That sucks!! Last Thursday, the aerobics instructor kicked her own ass and definitely kicked mine, I wish I had known. I definitely don't want to be skinnyfat-EW!!- like Amy Winehouse used to look. Thanks for the info.

The container says to mix one heaping scoop with 4ounces of cold liquid. I just figured if I use 12 ounces of milk, then I need 3 scoops. Sometimes I put 3 scoops in 16 ounces of milk or water. Aren't you supposed to consume 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight? I weigh 163, 5'4". I probably have about 30% bf. I don't know, but I am really just starting out and am flabby. I can feel the hardness under my "flab" I just have to uncover it. :-) Thanks for the info.

Great!
Try having 2 or 3 cups of green tea per day. Its an anti oxidant, will help with losing weight and is great for you. Have the 5 small meals I suggested, work hard and you're on your way. Any questions, just ask..

I'd keep the protein at 130g for now. You also should be getting MUST of your protein from whole foods. Have 1 shake per day only.

You don't need one scoop for every 4 ounces. I take 12 ounces and only 1.5 scoops of my protein and it tastes fantastic! Unless of course you like your protein as an actual shake. I like mine more watery. Easier to get down. But 12 ounces to my 1.5 scoops does the trick for me. Sure its different for everyone.
And Thandie is right.... Most of your protein needs to come from actual food. 2 shakes a day, MAX. Lower the scoopage, I'd say.

And welcome to EF!

Indeed it is. Probably the main reason many women continue to carry more bf than they'd like despite doing a lot of cardio work.

You might consider getting yourself a heartrate monitor for about $100. The display goes on your wrist just like a watch. It'll help you ensure you keep your hr in the aerobic zone. I don't know your age or conditioning level but your max aerobic hr probably isn't higher than 135 beats per minute.

Protein shake is best post training.

If each scoop is around 25 g, that is 100 kcals.

3 scoops = 300 kcals + the milk.

As well, one scoop can be more than 25 g.

You eat too many calories from protein, your body can store it as fat.

Most of my meals are around 300-350 kcals, I would rather have food.
