Banter and Trash talking in the Weightlifting forums

I just want to remind everyone that outside of chat we have ZERO tolerance for disrespecting other members. While i tend to lean towards more of a lax enforcement of the rules and let smaller things slide don't take kindness as weakness. I don't have a problem with friendly digs but if shit gets out of hand expect a time out or ban. With that being said if anything offends anyone, even if it is something small that you think is stupid please bring it to my attention and i will deal with it. I want the forum to be enjoyable for everyone so if i am going to be easy with the rules then i expect people to obey them and if something i let slide offends you DO NOT HESITATE TO PM ME!!!!!! It will be kept confidential and dealt with accordingly.

That's a good policy I think the board should support. No place should be abusive.

Having said that though, no one should let my presence alone change the character of this forum. There's absolutely nothing anyone could type in reference to me on a Internet forum that could hurt my feelings, so there's certainly no reason to tiptoe around me in particular.

I wanted to post in the other thread to apologize for my inappropriate post/language, but of course its locked. I was venting my frustration in completely the wrong place, and to the wrong people, and I apologize sincerely for that.

That said, the time off I had during my ban had me thinking and realizing how much time I have been wasting here without any benefit.
Is it possible to request a permanent ban, to keep me from the temptation of coming back and wasting more time here?

bro u got a 1 day ban for curzing out another member .. u would get that for curzing out any member in this area of the board woman or man.. if u wish to not come on here .. simply dont sign on ...if not live and learn how to debate your point like a civilized human being

Guys. I don't need to remind everyone. The policies haven't changed. You fuck around on the training forums, and I'll ban your ass. Depending on how active and helpful you are it may vary between a day's timeout to a perma ban. Don't push your luck. I've been seeing a lotta people being assholes lately.

Be kind to each other. Help each other. That's why there are forums like this, so we can learn from each other and grow as bodybuilders and people. Let's not forget that.

i wish all msg boards would have a policy like that...i left a board because of pissing matches and im thinkin of leaving another board because of bashing and personal attacks. ive only been here a few weeks and Im liking it...

It really does get out of hand and im glad EF addresses it. Not to long ago EF was one of those boards but when the higher ups stepped back and looked at how things were running they changed things for the better and i feel this is now one of the best, if not THE best bodybuilding/lifting site on the net.

As leaders we do not always make the right choice. people around us have to live with the choices we make though. You have to do what is best for everyone and the site at the same time. This does not always= what is going to make everyone happy all the time. people take offense so damn easy over things that really do not have to be that big of a thing to.

Every choice we make as leaders can in turn upset some one. It sucks but its lonely at the top some times. A balance must be kept at all times and its hard to keep that balance. When its disrupted it can change the face of the whole forum if you do not nip it in the bud right away. Its all about keep everyone respectful and keeping the natural flow of the forums that we have now going.

I love all the members.
