Maybe even as young as 16... To become olympic at 22... you have to start early. Now with the common agreement that juice is not for anyone younger than 25... are we working against a new young olympian?

i know guys who started as young as 16 in highschool. I dont think its a good idea but they havent seemed to suffer any problems from it. Actually now that i think of it they are all in great condition. most of these guys wearther following through or not all got looked at for football/wrestling schollarships or got free rides to train at fight gyms.
First of all, we don't know when Arnold started. Secondly, it's easier to mess yourself up when you're younger. And thirdly, when people start too young, they tend to fail because they never learn to train properly to get good gains -- which they should be able to do anyway. And today with the supps available, it's easier than ever.
And Arnold is Arnold. His success wasn't due to starting steroids sooner, that's for sure.

I think we have a pretty good idea. He won his first mr.olympia at 21 and it was obvious he was juicing. If you see pictures when he is 19 it is still very very obvious he was juicing. For easy estimating purposes we will say he did one cycle and trained for one year on roids. So at minimum he would of been juicing since he was 18 or late 17s.
I agree with you on it is easy to mess your body up but only to a certain extent. It would take some heavy ABUSE not use to mess up a young person.
I also agree to an extent with people not training properly but they dont get results like juicing no matter how young and in their prime they are. That why they do it, and lets face it today's youth its raised on instant gratification.
I'm not so sure it was "obvious" he was juicing. Everybody did a little before a contest, but guys didn't cycle on and off all year round the way they do now. And certainly not at anywhere near the dosages of the ordinary gym rat today.
FORGET ARNOLD
look at LEE PREIST
the kid was juicing at 14-15 years old, have a look at some of the old pics of him
theres pics of him at age 15, on ym gym wall wen he use to train there occasionaly, kid was a fukin MONSTER
anyways on topic
ill agree that professional bodybuilders (most anyways) did start juicing young
but to argue that we are holding back kids is incorrect
if a kid at 17 is dedicated, geneticaly gifted or not, trains hard and eats right, he will use steroids despite wat anyone tells him if his ambishen is to be a professional bodybuilder, strongman etc
he could make a few threads on a couple of forums, cop shit for wat he wants to do, maybe get banned, or maybe even lie about his age and get the advice he wanted
BUT lets face it, even without making a thread on this forum, you can easily look at one of the stickys or read through a few threads, websites etc and understand how to do a first cycle, and how to run a cycle
i know thats wat i did, no one would give me advice on my first cycle becoz of my age
the reason why I BELIEVE we shouldnt advise people of a young age to use steroids is based on morals more then anything else
lets forget arnold for a second, take a look at the average 17 year old kid in the gym
could you honestly say youd be happy to hand him steroids? or advise him to cycle?
the kid probably still thinks fat turns into muscle, high rep training burns fat, and fat free food cant get you fat, he probably hasnt even copped his first hand job yet off a girl and spends all night on facebook stalking pages of girl his age, and making random adds
and your going to go give him advise on how injecting 6 times the normal hormone level are going to put muscles on him?
those who are dedicated in the pursuit for bodybuilding will do wateva it takes, despite any forum rules or morals they will have to break
I PERSONALY do not agree with the age rule becoz it goes against me since i am young,
but i understand why its there, and why it needs to be there
we are not holding back anyone, we are weeding out the stupid, careless, wreckless and immature people
those who are dedicated will have the brains to read a simple sticky and do abit of research to construct there cycle

Our discussion is useless since there is no age rule. Alot of young people are juicing now. There is no way you can stop them. Whatever you tell them they still will juice. I think the solution is to educate them... Tell them not to do it, but if you're going for it anyway, I think you should ... and you should... etc. But telling them not to do it and not showing them the way... that might lead down to horrible things...
I know people at the age of 16 and they use tren. Can you imagine that?
