I'm trying to find out how to make my life easier getting plant-based "medicinals" into the country from Indonesia. Currently, there are always delays in customs, and the wholesaler is telling that it will be much faster (and cheaper) if I get some kind of "pre-approval" from the FDA (this is not a controlled substance, but apparently has to undergo some kind of inspection) or get a "customs broker" to literally pick up the package at his location (again, Indonesia) and put it on a plane, then take it off the plane here in the States.
I also cannot order in the sizes I want because of this - I want to order 500 bottles, but can only do 50 (again, something with the FDA)
I am having a hard time understanding the wholesaler because of language barrier issues....
Has anyone dealt with this kind if thing that can offer me some advice? Note that there is nothing illegal taking place in any of this (it's a plant-based extract), it's just bureaucratic crap that makes shipments a PITA. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.....
