Anybody Here Have Wrist Tendinitis??

I hurt my wrist about 8 weeks ago. It wasn't a specific event, it just started hurting. I went to the doc who told me it was either tenditis or some kind of cartiledge tear. I've been resting for the past 5 weeks and it's starting to feel a little better. I'm going to get an mri on Monday to see if it is in fact a cartiledge problem or tendinitis. To tell you the truth I'm hoping for some type of slight tear to show up so I can have simple surgey and be on my way. It seems the recovery time for tendinitis is a lot longer. Just wondering how long it took other people who have had tendinitis of the wrist to get back into the gym pain free.

No, but I have hurt my wrist. Both of them. I was trying those floor bench presses. You know where you lay on the floor and can only lower the dumbells about 1/3 way down. Just laying back and thrusting them up into position with my legs caused my forearms to sway and dip. I wasn't aware of how bad it truly was until the middle of the night. I could not sleep because I felt like Christ. Like someone had driven spikes through my wrists. That is no exaggeration. The next morning, I could not turn the handle to open my door, brush my teeth, pull back the shower curtain or operate the remote control. I was on a business trip and was effectively a prisoner in my room. My coworker luckily had a junkie friend in the area and he was able to score me some Lortabs and Valiums. Which I was taking 3 of each every 4 hours. And the paid was still intense. It was the second day before I could fasten my pants by myself.

While the pain went down some over the next week and even further the week after, I was by no means healed. For about six months there were exercises in the gym I could not do. A short list was :
hammer curls
barbell curls with a straight bar (could use a ez bar though)
dips
triceps pushdown with a straight bar
side laterals with dumbells
pullups
basically anything where the bar was straight or the grip was not slanted
I couldn't even train hamstrings properly because I was not able to grip the handles hard enough to keep my hips against the pad.

Wrist injuries fucking sucks.

not sure what i have..maybe u bros can be the docs for me...its seems that whenever i do incline dumbells presses or even incline barbell press my whole left wrist starts to swell up very noticably and it gets hard to move, but im not really in any pain..but its only when doing incline chest, nuthing else....anyone ever experience this??

I broke my growth plate in my wrist, i was out for about 8 weeks. when i started back i advanced the weight to much and got tendinitis. all i did was back off of the weights, made sure i had perfect form, and wraped my wrist up. it worked for me, and i hope this could help you out.

good luck

I did once. It got really bad a few weeks after I finished my cycle. When curling the weights the pain was just unbearable, to the point that only my good arm was doing all the job. This one guy told me to stop it right there otherwise I was going to hurt my good one. Told me to take a couple of weeks off the gym and rest. I took 100 mg of Primo a week during my weeks off and the pain went away about 3 days into my rest days. Ever since, i make sure to warm up throughly before going heavy, and never got hurt again.

include me in the wrist-is-a-bitch club. i found gripping the weights harder reduces the wrists from hurting.
