About 5 years ago I was pretty lean with good muscle tone. I worked out a lot and was very into it. Then my mom got sick. She had lung cancer. There went my gym days, were replaced with working nights and taking her to doctor appts. and chemo everyday. With that came quick meals, mainly fast food. Weight really piled on. So 5 years later, mom died over a year ago, i am still heavy, and just can't get an edge. Am trying dieting, working out, everything. I have never taken steroids before but have been researching them a lot lately. I am not looking for an easy way out, just a jump start. Both my parents were heavy and I can gain weight very fast...great for muscle building but the fat packs on just as fast. I don't want to take a steroid and end up getting "fatter" so is there any out there that would help aid, along with strict diet and exercise, that would help. Also, any diet and exercise recommendations would be greatly accepted.
Your profile says you are female ? You should check out the EF Women's Board and also the Diet & Trainign boards. If you are more than say 15% bf, steroids will NOT help you. You can't "Take anything" to lose weight. Just like quad is saying --- there are no easy ways. ITS 80% DIET. And no one is "just prone to be fat"--- if what you're doing now isn't working, then let's start over by looking at your diet & seeing what needs to be fixed. I can tweak a diet of 1800 cals to drop 10% bf and get down to 8% bf for competition naturally. Please toss any thoughts about looking for a miracle drug or "quicky way" to lose bodyfat - it doesnt' exist. I've looked for years. I started lifting weights in 1981 back when girls "didn't lift". I didnt' get control of the dieting part until about 10 yrs ago and have constantly been trying & learning new stuff thru 5 years of competition prep, including plenty of upheaval in my own life that screws it up .
Suggest you get on the women's board and start a new thread so that we can take a look at what you are doing & get you on the right track towards some good quality of life.
Also on the women's board, check out the "Are you new to EF WOmen's Board - START HERE!" sticky at the top. Excellent info and some guidance to start some good solid dialog for ya!
