ALA....Yes, AGAIN!

So In the gym the other day----and after my workout im shooting the shit with this guy was has been totally all natty his whole life---He is a big vitiman guy-(whatever) I started talking a little bit about ALA---and told him I was doing about a gram and a half a day and feel I'm actually leaning out on it........Before I can finish what I'm saying, he stops me and says ALA has great benefits but I don't know if you know this, but do you have any silver fillings---I thought for a second and said no all my silver fillings have been redone with (whatever those white fillings are made of) he says thats good because if you stay on AlA for a long time it will pull the mercery from your fillings and can lead to brain damage. That was a new one for me---I tried to research what he had said but came up with nothing-----So for now I'll take it with a grain of salt-----In my mind this is a guy who is afraid of Test---So why the fuck should I listen to him---ALA works---peace

Wombat we have done fine in our lives while sustaining our current level of brain damage. A little more in the efforts to get leaner is fine by me.

I will be starting a cutting cycle with in three weeks, simply waiting for my gear,

In the interim I have been taking Liquidex 1 mg EOD and have started and maintained a zero carb diet.

Two questions:

1) What would be the effect of ALA on a zero carb diet?
2) How do you combat the fatigue when on 2 grams of ALA

1) I don't know how effective it would be on a zero carb diet.. never done it. Scietifically, you should expect faster ketosis and less pumps.

2) To fight fatique I use ECA... Xeanderine to be exact... two caps do fine. I kind of like the after dinner nap though... it relaxed me.

I know that it is the ALA that caused it because I stopped it for a day and I came out of ketosis. Does anybody know what harm ketosis can cause the body? Doctors have always told me to check for ketones because it is bad for me to be in ketosis. I decided that I like ketosis because my appetite isn't as high while I am in ketosis so I will keep up the ALA until after my competition.

I was gong to reply to this post but ranger beat me to it.

Make sure you are not confusing ketoacidosis with ketosis.

Don't just take what you read here for granted. While for the most part it's good advice, on something as crucial as this TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR. Better yet talk to several doctors. You have a serious condition and you do not play with that kind of shit.

Be sure you talk to an endocrinologist with an open mind who is up on all the latest therapies. You might even give him some new ideas.
