After a binge

So a little cheating on Friday evening with a greasy cheeseburger & fries turned into some doughnuts (my #1 weakness) & chocolate (#2) on Saturday... followed up with pizza & beer for dinner Saturday.

I was the epitome of a glutton. I entered it all into fitday.com cuz I wanted to know just *how* bad it was. Scary! I'm not going to share! (I subsequently deleted it all so my friends who have the link to my diary wouldn't see it!)

So Sunday I woke up feeling so awful (not from the alcohol) & kicking myself. I got right back into my good habits, but here are my questions:

I was previously aiming for 40P-30C-30F. I had TONS of carbs & fat Sat, so Sunday I ate very hi-protein & low-carb. Should I continue this today?

I did a BodyPump (barbell muscular endurance class) & 60 min low-impact step class on Sunday AM. Should I have done even *more* cardio to burn out/off all that junk?

How *much* extra glycogen is stored in my muscles from the binge? Should I up the cardio & decrease the carbs this whole week? (Now I do maybe 3-4X per week).

Thanks! - Gladi

Just go back to your standard diet and training routine (whatever that was for today and the rest of the week) and worry about something more important. In the long run, this weekend means nothing.

It's easier to just pick up where you left off and keep on....
Don't try to "punish" yourself for it!
If it makes you feel any better, yesterday at my mom's I had 2 slices of pumpkin bread, about 2 handfulls of tortilla chips/ bean dip, some animal crackers.....4 cookies......came home and at 9 i had a small personal pizza from the drive through pizza hut, 3 breadsticks, and a coke!

Ironically.. I've been craving protein like MAD today! Yeee haaaa, this thrills me! I never used to crave it till I started eating more.

Lunch was leftover filet mignon & then I still wanted a can of tuna.

Thanks for the reassurance W6... good to know I didn't put my body in some bizarre carb-overload!
