second, try either the curling bar or the straight bar for press downs...v-shape hurts my shoulders as well

also, your training chest twice a week? what's the rep scheme on the other day?

I KNOW RIGHT?! Sooo excited. I wish she'd be able to get the legs too, but I know she wont since I FEEL my back & neck is going to need most of the work, always the case. Since I was adjusted though, my headaches have gone down some. My feet are still taped from the acu session, so maybe that is helping too, well dang, maybe the pattern he did helps too, and the supps he gave me helped, arghhhhhhhhh.... :insane:

Whatever, something worked. :) Im still crabby though lol :evil:

Dang you need to catch up on my log. I am hitting chest 2 x a week and legs 3 x a week.

Chest Day 1 is Flat Bench, Day 2 is Incline, the rest is 'fluff'
squatting 3 x a week

Coach T make some suggestions to implement some strength training and I took his advice.

She does have that clevage seperation I love so much.... :p

Her cleave is what I like. BSOA (Stamp of Approval)... I guess the people who crowned her Figure O winner from 03,04,05 thought she had it ;)
I am speaking directly of her shoulders in this pic for certain motivation. I like Davana alot, prefer her over many of the other faves. I also like Valerie Waugaman.
 
Nice week and a half of training......on the fronts, you said tough, but not a PR almost like you were a bit disappointed....are you talking an 8 rep PR or a 4x8 PR?....the all 4 sets of 8 will obviously be MUCH tougher than working up to 1x8....

lol No, not at ALL what I meant. For those reading I indicated NOT a PR, my PR for fronts is my PR for backs (135)... just making notes, nothing more.

Need your brain here... tomorrow is Leg Day 3 ... backs, day 1 was
ATF Back Squat –

110 x 6 ( OMG I wanted to quit after 4!!! )
80 x 8 (SPENT)

Am I adding 5 (so 115) & keep it there until I hit 6 reps (carryover to next week if necessary?)
 
You got your 6 reps at 110, so the goal for the next 1st squat day would be 115x6.....the second squat day, you want to try to get 4 reps with the planned 6 rep weight for the next 'day 1' which is 115...... then hit 115x6 the next workout.

How are ya feeling? How'd it go? Back & neck & legs? And do you find that you sleep better after? I'm on a shitty sleep streak... :worried:

I haven't slept through the night in ... I cannot even remember when.
Massage at 7pm tonight. I usually want to sit in a tub of ice when she's done, but no where has ice tubs around these parts. I dont have enough ice to make one either unless I go buy some from the gas station.

I feel "high" after but I don't remember ever sleeping 'like a baby' but that could be b/c I have my crabby boots on right now and don't wann abe at work.

I woke up this morning feeling like crap. I felt like I was going to hurl all morning, so squats didn't help. I am a mess today. But thank you for asking :rose: ...

*a LOT of stretching in-between sets, outside of right knee felt weird last two days, was ok as I turned my foot out more on the squats, didn’t bother me as I added weight … on the step mill had to cut it short b/c felt a shooting pain in my left side (lower back), rode bike for 15 minutes… both gyms I train at have physical therapy centers there, but this one, the ice machine was MIA so I sat in the steam room for 10 minutes, then rolled out everything for 20 minutes b4 yoga started… cannot wait until massage today*

On squats I turn my feet out as well. I think it helps the knee handle the load better.

It's funny that you thought the wine needed to go - I was thinking that about the leather pants!

Sorry been busy dealing with issues all day.

I am actually taking what I bought at VS by accident.

From what I've read, researched and a recent in depth conversation with my guru, I am under the impression if there is a better way to take them, it is separate. When I make my purchases I will be doing that ... spreading Mag throughout the day in 2-4 doses and taking the calcium in a single dose.

*edit* I can probably do some more research on the matter, just ran out of time ;)

I was just thinking - your 5'9" ish right? So is it hard to find pants that are long enough and that will hold your quads? Or is it a Tailor nightmare. My wife was 5'9" (after having 4 kids she is now about 5'7.5" lol) and she could only buy designer stuff b/c her legs were so long - suits were crazy expensive.

Maybe the photo would be good workout gear - or for casual friday - or your next shoot :Perk:

34 length is not too hard to find (KNOCK ON WOOD), or LONG, but the issue resides with jeans & my waist to glute ratio (NOW) as well as quad size. :) Roony knows what I'm talking about. A pair of my jeans are so tight on my quads (and STILL gaping at the waist) I now know why the lady said to buy a size smaller. You could see the cuts in quad & ham def in these suckers. I have a few pair I LOVE but prefer comfy clothes. :D

I would most def. wear that for a shoot if that was the look... thanks for the idea!

FF lol :rose: I did this at my cousins wedding last year. Felt great. I was also 37 lbs lighter LOL :) I felt so pretty that day. That is alot coming from me, I don't like skirts, dresses or shorts. I really never have as long as I can remember. Working on it though. :artist:

Tell me about it! This is what made me decide to cut. When your muscley with fat on top your clothes just never fit right, no matter how big the size. When I'm lean though, I don't have this problem...clothes fit great.
I really hate when you can't get the shirt off. I get all claustrophobic and start panicking. Funny sight :lmao:

LOL were you around when I told the story about me she-hulking my shirt off?! Mr B was looking at me like OMG, it just would NOT come off, stuck, and I was beyond aggitated, I ripped the sumabitch off. :verygood: :angel:

The best girl friend I can have when shopping is the sales person, who doesn't work on commission, who waits on you hand & foot because you need her, not b/c she's annoyingly stalking you, but picking out cute new things for you to try on & exchanging sizes, running to get cute shoes half was across the store b/c you need to see the pants in a heel, open & closed toe...and is honest when something does NOT look good… sorry I started reminiscing again lol. Other times I wanna be left the h3ll alone in the extra large fitting room with 30 pair of jeans that did NOT fit lol.

Wow - I could have said that word-for-word!! I would add a nice store temperature as well. Nothing worse than being too warm & starting to sweat as you try on that 17th pair of jeans that do not fit.... lol. :)

** I had to push Friday's workout to Saturday morning and no way did I want to squat on Sunday morning… HANGOVER…. I'm pretty sure I did not take any supps except the Glucorell & Sesapure pre wedding. It was harder than I thought to see my best friend get married. A tear never made it out of the eyes so that was good for my makeup. Bride is a very pretty girl so she looked gorgeous all decked out :). Lucky for me my digital battery went dead at the church and NONE of the pics would come out. BLURRY! So I went & bought two disposables & took some random photos, lol. Groom was adorable in his tux… his mom bought 35 cans of silly string which went unused b/c of the potential ‘danger’ of slipping on the dance floor, so she gave me a can and said “You better spray this all over Joey when we’re dancing…” lol I made my date do it :D. I brought three pair of shoes, ended up only wearing two of them… wedding shoes & reception shoes. ;) Wonder how many calories I burned while dancing… I was doing some version of the cha cha I’m sure NO ONE has ever seen before… :FRlol: … There were two other weddings going on that night so we kinda wandered over to the other reception rooms having their dance parties… wedding crashers maybe! :lmao: We also had a mini photo shoot against a random photographers backdrop & lighting, my playing photographer of course … lol Oopsie. Fun night.

With my previous poor planning and setbacks with training, I need to get back on the ball. It’s really annoying to make progress & end up taking a few leaps back… but I would not change any of my decisions. I have no appetite & still feel a bit thrashed so hopefully I’ll make it to the gym today, if not, squatting tomorrow.
 
Sounds like such a fun night! :dance2: What did you finally end up wearing? Did you have two outfits - one for the ceremony and another for the reception? I personally think you have the bod to look absolutely FAB in a dress, especially halter cut or strapless. And guess what...now random people come up and touch/poke me at bars too :lmao: I'm still at the point where I'm flattered and not annoyed, but I always think of you when it happens.

ps - jean tip: always buy 'em tight as all hell. high end denim will stretch and the gaping waist now will only gap even more over time. the area around the thighs on the other hand will get looser allowing the quads to breathe.

I didn't have time to have an outfit change, prolly a good thing. :) I had a black suit on with a red shirt with a drapy neck & split (short) sleeves, showing my shoulders. It was comfy and that's all I wanted. Thanks for the compliments Roony. :rose: I LOVE strapless & halters for that very reason, I love a cut upper body. If I had some color to me I probably would have went for it. I'll see what I can do about the pictures. I'll most likely email a few. ;)

Ahh the poking and grabbing... :) It is flattering, it's just those people that look at you like a freak that bother me. And for the guys who say "Your arms are bigger than mine!" I say "that's kinda sad considering they are no bigger than 13".. maybe you shoud hit the gym" :D Ok well I only said that to my parents after my brother told them I was 'huge'.. my dad made me take off my sweatshirt so he could see what his son was talking about, scared him & then he was ok after I showed him my bro was overexaggerating. :rolleyes:

That's why I can keep going up in weight because I'm not concentrating on my grip coming undone and they work better then straps or any other glove I have tried. Let me know if you order them and use them!!!

Yes. Deads. I have never been a fan of regular deads, more the SLDL, but now with a slight bend in the knees since I'm lifting more weight.

I was wondering if you were using some type of wrap with all that heavy pulling. You answered my question. My focus has been working on my grip strength. I have two pairs of wraps that are collecting dust. At most I'll wear my gloves so my hands (paper thin & very sensitive) don't tear up and bloody callous, how attractive. I may have to give them a try next strength run sometime next year. Thanks for the link.

I was telling a trainer at the gym today about you, and last week another random... talking about strength cycles (and I said not the 'cycle' many people think off) ... when I said your LP & Dead PR they assumed you were a power lifter, I'm like, no no no, figure girls have power too... :) ha

Thanks WW! I am kinda getting aggravted with my squats. I was at 135 for both front & back when I was previously ramping up 'my way' (2 x a week lift to failure) but as I build up to more weight this way (3 x a week, leaving more in tank), it's harder for me now then before?! Sure volume can be a factor with many, I feel based on my previous training and 'volume' , I don't think that is the issue. I don't get it at this time, but I'll figure it out, I hope. See, before I could add anymore weight to the 135 (for front OR back) but I reconfig'd my split and changed everything .. so I didn't even run that until I burnt out where the new approach could be more beneficial to break through the wall I (never even) hit...

I'm frustrated with myself. Grr.

I need to take my chubby ass to the gym tonight to start doing some PM cardio and make it a habit to stay active after work, even if it's just for 20-30 minutes, I can't take it anymore.

I don't know - I DO know the aggravation part - I was there last week - This week I found those 2.5 pound plates and just went with it. I get to the point where I over-think things. Anyway, what you are talking about - It is a controversial topic, but at the end of the day even when you research and ask/receive advice - You know YOUR BODY the best. LMK how the change works.

Chubby ass - Don't make me :splat: you. I know what all those squats do for your ass, lol. But the thought of cardio. Blah. Maybe it's all the rain here. I skipped yesterday AM *and* PM, so I'm going tonight. I think. :evil:

I know what you're saying but something else is telling me otherwise and I really don't feel Im being stubborn, and I can be stubborn as h3ll! :evil: I'm being stubborn about BEING stubborn :rolleyes: Yes, :splat: me ... I also have no brain food so far today fo real... I also left all my veggies at home :redhot: and been eating chicken & a fat... typ. low(er) carb day.

My chubby comment... lest I say 'fat' I went with chubbs lol :D I got some pics back from the wedding lol, my face is chubby and I saw a double chin. Time to hit the PM cardio and stop slacking, I am being a total brat. :devil:
