200lb Dumbell Bench - Coleman

krbn08 said:
Thats really not very much compared to some people.

My dad was doing 750 in highschool, but then again he

was a fucking animal back in his day.

I look at it in terms of body weight. Even if Coleman was 320 lbs. when he pulled the 800 lbs., that's still 2.5 times his body weight. I don't care if you weigh 140 lbs., a 2.5 x body weight deadlift is impressive.

You're dad is a beast.

I know guys bigger than that and they don't even lift weights...they're just big farm boys. (If I had a nickle for every time I heard that one.)

I thought to myself...200's for dumbell presses...big deal. Then, when I saw the ease at which he toys with them, I am in awe. He presses those like they're 50's.

if you think that is impressive go over to muscletalk.co.uk and look up Bbigman2000 for his 2700lb leg press... he doesn't ever do squats he only does legpress and his legs are massive you can see his right quad going into cramps at the end and his muscle is massive... well the man himself is just massive but that's a tale for another thread on another forum!! :)
That's ok, seeing someone do 2300 makes me feel weak enough as it is.
2700 DAMN!!!!

In case anyone wanted some motivation for the long weekend. Everyone probably has seen a guy benching 5 plates in their gym....but 200lb db's? Whatever anyone has to say, it is still fucking impressive. I'm gonna go cry now.

Video is impressive, but this is not as unattainable as you may think... After a shoulder injury from Barbell flat bench, I did all dumbell work for about a year. I could press the 160# (biggest my gym offered) for 10-12, and really my limitations had to do more with my wrists... I know 160's for 10 is a far cry from 200# DB's, but at the time I was 230lbs, and 100% clean...

I tell you guys this only to let inspire you... Most people never come close to thier potential when it comes to DB press... I have increased several friends DB press by 10-20 lbs, simply by handing them the heavier ones... GL!
