12 hours after I evict non paying room mate......
City tags me for a 10" section of fence that I made 8' high.
My neighbors house is two feet taller than mine due to the lay of the land. This was fine until they built their cement patio out to the last inch of their property. So their patio was inches from mine and substantially higher.
I had no privacy at all so I bought 8' pickets for a 10' section.
8' fences are against code.....no contest there.
The thing I find interesting is that this dead beat who ripped a brand new table in half amongst many other things....like not paying rent in months....was able to sick the city on me.
I could understand it if the city really enforced code but they let people keep piles of trash anywhere on their property. Front yard, driveway, you name it.
But they decided that a 10' section of 8' fence was worse than piles of trash.
Oh well. Vent over.
