No more Twinkies???!!

They said on the news tonight they'll still be produced in Canada..

I'm not really that pro-union of a guy, but unions had nothing to do with the Hostess demise. It was incompetent management. Selling Twinkies and Ding Dongs in 2012 makes as much sense as selling 8 track players. After all these years their innovation has been zero. It would be like Goodyear still trying to sell bias ply tires. No healthy alternatives? No granola? No energy bars? No protein nuggets? Shit they could have done a million different things, but they had as much imagination as a box of hammers.
And the sorry ass management tries to blame unions. And the right wingers join the band wagon. But that wasn't the case at all.

as a follow up to my coca-cola comment...remember wtf happened when the coca-cola company tried to innovate???? twinkies, ding-dongs and coke have nothing in common with automobile tires (which were improved for the sake of safety, wear, production, etc.)...it's apples and oranges...or snack food and car tires (if you like :lmao: )

They charge something like $8.00 each for deep-fried twinkies at the SD county fair. I wonder what they'll find to replace it.

Actually, I think my analogy was superb. :)

Innovate or die. It applies to every industry.
