Can't disagree with you. IMHO, most people eat a diet so crappy and highly processed AND they ignore some really common symptoms of food intolerances -- which I firmly believe causes further GI damage, fuck what M.D.s say (I won't even comment on needing "a little purple pill"

) that a huge percentage of the population is walking around with varying degrees of nutritional deficiency.
I've been taking a very expensive probiotic blend for years, won't give it up, the stuff keeps all sorts of internal stuff working right and really seems to support immune function. My personal acid test is does it work, do I see a difference? With this stuff, I do. If I don't see some positive effect after one to two months of taking any product I pretty much shitcan it (with the exception of certain things like herbs taken short term).
In terms of daily supplements I take a multivitamin, garlic, vitamin D, green tea extract, Primal Defense and hyaluronanic acid (jury is still out on that one), that's it. Everything else I rotate throughout the week -- detox stuff (NAC/glutamine/taurine/glutathione), B-100 complex, multi-mineral complex, magnesium, iron and/or B12 when I remember or feel particularly beat. I'll toss in various herbs, zinc, vitamin C depending on what's going on otherwise.
