Don't you wear fitted caps turned to the side?
the rap was for jokes, but damn guys this kid has definitely changed me. I quit cigs the day he was born, havent smoked since March 1st. Ive also not worn a hat since then....I just feel more mature already. It definitely is a good thing. Its funny how some of u guys say you dont want to have a kid at an early age because you wanna party and fuck 5's and 6's. Thats cool but to tell me my life was over was just ridiculous, you dont WANT to do those things when you have a kid. Yea I could if I wanted to, but I would rather step up and be involved in my childs life. I WANT to be involved. I dont want to smoke cigs anymore. I dont want to party either. I just want to be a good father
$1600 a month that YOU have to pay the taxes on. Granted, you get a significant amount of deductions, but this sounds so sketchy. You also lose things, like health insurance and workers comp.Yea but even If im a W2 employee I dont wanna put my 2 week notices in to my other 2 jobs if this job isnt gonna be atleast somewhat permanent. Because they prob want me to start next week but Im scheduled for the next 2-3 weeks already for my other 2 current jobs
On the CL ad, it said for compensation: up to 1600/month plus bonuses, so Ill def clarify this. They said you get $1.50 per post for the first 2 weeks, then it drops to $1.25 per post, but you also get $1.00 per post at the end of the week as a bonus. So really you get $2.25 per post
thx for ur help dawg
Maybe ill even get my 360 fixed by them! for free!

Anything that involves self employment and hard time on a keyboard to make your $$$ is NOT an easy way to make a living. You WILL work twice as hard being self employed as you do on a W2, always. Self employed AND commission?![]()

Having a kid doesn't only impact your social life. It limits you professionally and educationally if you still need to grow in these areas. you can't afford to go to school full time and work because you have a child. you don't have a degree Or a legitimate career. This means you have to focus a lot more on the "now" than the future.all your decisions are tied to another human being.
I'm not trying to rag on you but don't make such a ridiculous statement and pretend like this beats being able to experience a life of relative freedom where you have time to develop and experience. It is what is and you make the best of it, but there's not a single twenty something that would trade places with you in that situation.
Never heard of carpal tunnel syndrome?Havent had health insurance for years, and workmans comp for sitting on a keyboard all day? I dont need that haha
I know what u are saying. It sounds sketchy because most of the time it is, but this might be different. The lady seemed real legit, and said there last ebay guy just fell behind and started not posting the items correctly.
To make $11.25/hr, according to them, I would have to post 5 things each hour. That seems really easy. It takes me 5 minutes now.
But either way Im keeping my 2 jobs (Hotel, Chili's). I will work them on the weekends if this gig is legit and its M-F. Ill be working 7 days a week for a good 4-5 months and then I might drop the 2 PT jobs I have right now if the ebay job is legit. I also have my ebay business that I make 200-300 a month on.
Professionally and educationally? I am doing PTA program. Takes 21 months to complete. I start it in the next 6 -12 months. So by the time my baby is 3 years old I will have my career. Grants help. So do student loans - thats what they are for. Im gonna have to work 7 days a week if i have to until I get my PTA cert. Im TOTALLY ok with that lol.
Who says I cant focus on the future? What do you think the PTA cert I am going to get is gonna be for? What about investing in my silver for long term savings? What about giving my baby mom a chance so my baby has a family that is so rare these days?
Why do I need relative freedom? Granted when you dont have a kid you can be a little more selfish, but that is a selfish statement. Dont say what i said is a ridiculous statement, anybody with a kid would understand what I am talking about. You are single and have no baby. I bet its pretty lonely. What do you have to show for your life so far? Wow a Degree? A piece of fuckin paper? Congrats I guess, but I have a baby and I will be a grandad before Im 50. I will be able to experience more family which is better than anything "relative freedom" could bring me.
Never heard of carpal tunnel syndrome? And steroids + keyboard + weights actually increases your odds of getting CTS (or any other repetative motion stress injury).
Additionally, bear in mind that when you're working for yourself you basically need to be earning 1/3 to 1/2 MORE than you would make if you were getting paid on a W2 because of the taxes that come out. And you MUST pay those taxes, the penalties hurt like hell if you miss them. And if you're going to be getting a 1099 it's not like Ebay stuff, you're going to have someone declaring what they paid you, the subcontractor. Now you will be able to deduct things, like office space, electricity, gas, etc., but you're going to have to start keeping a record of all of that, too.
And you can get away without paying the quarterlies (I only pay mine twice a year) but you need to do your taxes properly from the start. Honestly, unless you're very good with numbers it's worth it to go to a CPA.
I should have worded myself differently when I said sketchy. I I meant that it sounds a little like a bait and switch. I'm getting so old that honestly, I've decided if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
I could be wrongI wish you luck. If you're not going to give up your safety net (your other jobs) then what the heck, go for it.
Oh, one thing, in terms of doing what you're doing now on Ebay for yourself versus doing it for someone else ... people get really bitchy and nit picky about quality when they're paying you to type for them, seriously.
