Excerpt: Hi everyone, I would like some advice here, I was benching 150, first time ever and I heard something poped in my left shoulder I didn't any pain at the moment, it was in the am time, it's night time now and pain is getting worst, I wonder is I should stop doing any upper body training since most of the upper body movements involve your shoulders, and for how long should I stop, thanks.

First rest and recover. Find out what it was and rehab it.

Absolutely rest. You really want to listen to your body. It could be weeks depending on what you did.

I would book an appointment with a good sports therapist and get it professionally checked out. You might have torn a rotator cuff
