I was driving on a highway in KY this morning and it was raining like a bitch. The dude about 5 car lengths ahead of me lost control and started hydroplaning...he did a few 360's right before my eyes...a semi was on my right and we were both in the left lane, so I had no where to go. The feeling in my gut was 'I'm gonna die today'. I honestly felt like this was my last day on Earth. It all happened pretty fast. I remember my heart going into over drive, and I said "Awww shit...".
The trucker was on his game and slowed down to give me a way out...if he hadn't..I would have t-boned the dude ahead of me at 60 MPH or better, probably killing us both. I swerved to the right and almost lost control myself.
In an instant it was over...I looked in my side mirror and saw the dude spin out to a safe stop on the grassy median. I missed him by inches. Literally inches.
One or two seconds difference in reaction time of the trucker, and I would probably not be posting this.
