Would this be too over the top and ridiculous or cute?

I have a Dorothy costume because the law firm where I worked in cincinnati had a departmental halloween contest, where each department had a theme. Anyway, I was "volunteered" to be Dorothy for the year that we did the Wizard of Oz. Devin has a little lion costume for Halloween, and I have a yorky. Stupid to all dress up as a family and go together, or cute???

Cute as hell, over the top nothing...
You would be one of the focal points of convo at the party...
It would be aesthetic treat for all...

We don't have a party to go to. We would just be trick or treating. Anyway, I thought Devin might get a kick out of seeing the pictures when he is older. =-)

It would rock... plus the cowardly lion is one of my favorite characters...
You can't beat a tyke dressed up as a lion, beyond cute...
You have to take pics though....
 
I think it would pull off well... I think it would be witty and cute, however, will you be able to walk your dog? Or is he good at holding it throughout the event? Also, what if the lion need to be changed? Will Toto be easy enough to handle in all situations? Other than that, if you don't see any issues it would be cute.

BTW... 4 more days and counting, be back July or August.

We would be outside and trick or treating, so the dog would be okay. He's very well behaved on walks and in the car. I wouldn't take him if it were an indoor party. He's known to poop on the rug...lol.

It isn't one of those naughty, sexy dorothy costumes. It's conservative because I bought it for the law firm costume thing. Plus, sexy costumes and trick or treating with a one year old don't mix well...lol.

And if he isn't living up to expectations feel free to talk shit using either Scarecrow, or Tinman as analogy....

Actually, I broke up with him Friday night and haven't spoken to him since then. :worried:

We had differences in opinions about my parenting of Dev, and it just wasn't working out.

so i'm going as Christopher robin .. wife is going as Princess Leia you know with the outfit from Star Wars and the slave girl.. just because she can..

are you kidding?? totally cute! now that you've thought of it, if you don't do it, you'll regret it.

our twin girls are in dance. . .every year they have a little christmas show. . .one number always calls for parental participation. . .there's two of them so i always have to get up there and shake what God gave me. . .i'm ALWAYS the only dad up there. . .i love it. . .and i don't give a hairy rat's ass what any of the other fathers think. . .in fact, i've gotten more "favorable" comments from the milf's in the room than i care to mention. . .anything ever happens to my wife and i'll have to move and get an unlisted phone number to keep 'em outta my grill. :)

And by "get a kick out of" you actually mean horribly embarassed and emasculated should you ever show said pics to any girl he brings home.

I say go for it Heather. You may not have the same opportunity next year to have a well working theme. 2 years ago my friend was like 265 and hes 5'5" so naturally we went as Arnold and Devito from twins (If the username doesnt give it away im 6'8"). Everyone LOVED it people spit out beer laughing when they saw us. But alas now he got his shit together and hes 175 so no more Danny Devito in my circle of friends.
