I cant say if there is or isnt a cure already for HIV/AIDS. I would like to think that all of the reason you stated above, would not be true. I have never heard of a person being Immune to HIV, but thats not to say it can't happen. I believe that in the near future that the cure will come about, and all the worlds suffering will begin to ease up a little. Yeah..the third world countries will most likely still suffer, only because thay do not have the resourse like the rest of the world.

Hi Jay, Will there ever be a cure for such a disease, probably. In our lifetime, I highly doubt it. Is there a cure out there already? There might be, and the reason why it hasn't been available in my opinion, on the assumption there is, is because drug companies will make alot more money in suppressing rather then curing. As for immunity I have heard the same thing, but then again people hear alot of "things". Not to sure on that.

hello
i dont think there is anyone who is immune to the worlds most dangerous disease
no one can escape it if not precatious
as for the treatment i think what you have said is not true
no government can restrict any cures just to control the population like that
but there will definitely be a total cure for aids in the future

I believe in the plague (spelling?) years of history there was area...in England (?) in which the people had a strong resistance. These people are linked to off-spring today that had early exposure to HIV and also have been resistant. I understood there where several people being studied (blood study) as to how their DNA fought this...though I haven't heard about this case in over a year.

My mom worked in infectious diseases for the majority of her career. She never bought the idea of a gov conspiracy in the disease foundation (though politically dragging feet to fund research could be seen this way by many). It has been said in historical medicine that a cure would not be found for certain things and then bam a break-through came. The drug company that can find a cure will make bank so I don't buy the idea that they don't want to find the answer. If the politicians, and I guess people in general, could just see how any research in this field is not about one particular casue. Medical research in HIV educated us more about the blood than has ever been known before. That knowledge helps medicine across the board. We must never give up hope. I donate several times a year to HIV/AIDS research and urge others to do the same.

Stevebaby is correct. There seems to some type of immunity geneticly related to the Black Plague that gives resistance to hiv. Thanks! Alan.

i just saw this thread from the main page.. anyways, i'm sure even if there is a cure.. noone will get their hands on it thanks to the FDA.. there's no way in hell they would ever let anyone release it. its all about money and power.. and money :(
