Why the hell does it hurt so much to shoot in my left quad?

25g 1 inch. It does seem ever so slightly swollen, but like I said, it doesnt hurt at all. Not even a little bit. Not when I push on it , walk on it, nothing. OH well, I wouldnt have an abcess would I?

I feel for you, empty. You no doubt have injected into a nerve bundle. I was in a hurry some time ago, and went too high toward the hip.........i felt it going in, but like a fool, I fired away anyhow. It took 6 months before I could use that quad again for injections without pain. It sucks to lose one of the key sites for that long, but best to let it fully recover.

It happened to me for the first time Sunday

I've been using my quads for several weeks, and for the first time, the 1.5 23g hurt as it went in. I pulled it out immediately and some thick blood oozed. I went in about 1.5" higher and didn't even feel it (as usual). Aspirated and plunged, no problem. Everything seems fine now.

You should NEVER inject in your left thigh, only your right-your left leg has twice as many veins-more chances to hit something. My fiance is the charge nurse at Stanford-don't use the left.

when you shoot the right quad it is eaiser to aspirate, when you do the left it is a lot harder and you were most likely moving the pin around and that is why it is more sore than the right.
