Why an alcohol swab before lethal injection?

Kind of like the guy in Texas who appealed his death sentence because lethal injection would be "cruel and inhumane punishment." Why? Because he was 280 pounds and argued that his obesity would mean the executioner would have a hard time finding a vein.
Interesting concept considering the cruel and inhumane treatment that his two murder victims received.

Fuck man, how do you get so fat on Topomax? People abuse that shit to LOSE weight.....Not getting a vein cuz somebody is fat is BS if they're not 500 lbs.... Lotta good ones in the scalp. Fuck, jam an IO line in them if you cant find a vein... I have no sympathy for these people.

A) Out of respect to the people watching, just because this person was inhumane does not mean we have all got to be that way

C) possibly so as though when there is an autopsy done there is only the injected chemicle and no infection thus there can be no law suits from pissed off family members looking for a way to pay back to justice system for taking thier loved ones??

LOL - actually I read in yesterday when I was trying to find evidence as to why swabbing with alcohol pre-injection is a waste of time and that's the first thing that came up.
My inbox isn't full of that junk you keep recieving...
