Who goes to a chiropractor?

flex229 said:
had a family member with a similar problem...spent one session at the chiro and the pain was all done with...

couldnt hurt to try one session to see if you like it.
Yeah that is what I am thinking.

I went to the chiro in the past but seemed like everytime I left I felt more messed up. The one place I went to the lady at the desk would always say "the doctor will be right with you", "the doctor is running a little behind today". That damn fool was the farthest thing from being a doc. He was just a chiro, not a Dr.

I don't think i would have made it thru the pain without a chiropractor.
Now more than ever doctors belive in them and will refer you to a chiropractor, more insurance companies also cover chiropractors now.
They do work!

Put it this way. Every single person I know that has gone to a chiropractor to help them with back pain/issues is STILL going to a chiropractor to help them with back pain/issues. Many, many years later in most cases. Enough said.

I want to reply to so many posts here... Well, we go to dentists regularly and MD's regularly, why not go to Chiros regularly.

I was always in the camp of "Chiros are quacks" until I went to one for my back. I was EXTREME agony when I walked into his office with my neck literally on a 45 degree angle to the floor. When he adjusted me I was pain free and never looked back. He DID say I needed additional adjustments becuase it's just like any other medical field... you NEED to keep up with things... You need to do preventative steps for anything regarding your body and health. In the begining I was going 2 or 3 times a week because it was bad. Then once a week... nowe once a month or every few months. My spine is in pretty good shape compared to how it was before going.

I wholeheartedly support capable chiropractors.

When I walked in the office the first time, he felt my back and pinpointed to exact area of my pain without me telling him a word. I should have went to a hiro years before. I lived with unneaded pain for years because I too thought they were quacks. I just went to one because i was so "desperate" at the time, but it worked out great. Do it!!!

The old joke....what do you call someone who barely got into medical school and graduated last in their class??? A Doctor.
I've seen 4 different chiros. 2 were just after my money. I dislocated 2 ribs onetime (painful as fuck) and the guy I go to now fixed me up in no time.
I'd check it out as long as you have references.

I think it is Sciatica I been reading up and the symptoms for that a pretty much what I am feeling. :S

I had the same thing too at a different time than my above post. I was scheduled for an epidural but my chiro said "Let me take care of it, if it doesn't work, then get the epidural." OK good enough. Long story short...He fixed it and i did'nt need the needle.

Is the pain going down your left leg? That's what was happening to me with the sciatica.

Yup sharp pain down the left leg. I am going to see a chiro I am not big on drugs for muscle pain. I do have an appointment in two weeks with a sports MD if the chiro hasn't helped by then I will let the MD take a carck at it.

It was one of the most painful things I've been through, but I did come out of it OK. Good luck.
