WHO do you think should be TIME'S MAN OF THE YEAR.

Oh yeah, FDR was a real pussy. And Johnson was huge wimp.

To digress from the topic.... Musclebrains, lots of really informed people like yourself defend FDR all the time. The man is practically canonized, added to the roster of Saints.

I seem to be the only person in America who has issues with him on account of waiting sooo long (about 2 years) from the time the Final Solution really got in gear to the time we intervened (which we only did after Pearl Harbor).

Inaction back then was in itself action. It was inhumane.

My opinion is that FDR wanted to to engage the Germans and Japs sooner but it simply was not popular with the American public until Pearl Harbor.

Bush is a realist. Who cares about the majority of votes? It is who wins the election. Arguing about vote majority is akin to saying that the team with the best statistics should get the 'W' instead of the team with the most points.-

Bush is a realist because he lacks imagination, vision, or any sort of ideas.

I'm not simply arguing about who had the most votes, Gore, of course did, but Gore also won the electoral college since he truly won Florida.

It's very amusing that so many Republicans think the American people have forgotten that Bush stole the election, thus becoming the first unelected President and the first SELECTED PREISDENT in American History. As we speak, a man is running the country that wasn't really elected as President.

Although Bush has approval ratings during this time of war, recent polls still show that the American people think he is there illegitimately. African-Americans, liberals, moderates, and particularly Floridian voters will again hand Bush another defeat in the next national election.

BUSH STILL HASN'T PROVEN THAT HE CAN WIN A MAJORITY OF AMERICA'S VOTES.....................

I don't know. I have VERY strong feelings about inaction when action is called for. We hear so much about that man's heroics, his POPULARITY, the way he could get things done.

I don't know, I think he could have done something. Maybe not immediately but waaay before he did.

WHAT? drop bombs on Hiroshima & Nagasaki sooner, thus killing millions of innocent Japanese citizens---a little earlier.

Well... African-Americans and liberals will not vote for Bush no matter how great he may turn out to be. They don't relate to him. Florida will side with him again if the Florida economy does well. You can be sure sure Jeb has a horse whip on the states economy. He passed an extremely large tas cut that was very popular but potentially ill timed.

Jeb couldn't hand him the last election legitimately what makes you think he can next time?

Um... no. (???) Not what I said. There are other ways of "getting involved" in the history of warfare.

A decade ago, when Elie Weisel was standing in front of the Holocaust Museum telling Clinton "Never again" with reference to Bosnia, he wasn't saying: "Hey Bubba, nuke 'em to smithereens!"
He was simply advocating involvement.

Get it? Calm down.

Because he has four years to do it.:D

People who continue to underestimate the Bush family really flabbergast me. They are the most powerful and well connected family on the planet.
