I have to be honest, I really hate when men start making biological excuses for the double standard. Frankly, as evolved as we are now, it's a load of crap. Yes, there's a double standard, but at this point I'd say it's all but entirely a social construct.

THAT SAID, I don't deny that if you take a man who's had sex with 10 girls in a month, and a girl who's had sex with 10 guys in a month and compare them side by side - chances are, the guy's doing just fine and the girl is an absolute wreck. I think I read somewhere that women get a much higher dose of the "love" hormone during sex and therefore are naturally inclined to be less able to separate sex from emotion. I'll allow that women are not biologically built for excessive casual sex.

But when we're talking about calling, say, a 28 year old woman a slut for having 20 partners over twelve years, that's because of social expectations, not evolutionary psychology.

First of all - I clearly stated and allowed for biological factors. I simply argued that at this point in time the "double standard," IN MY OPINION, is governed far more by social standards than biological instincts.

I believe many young girls are damaged, damaged because no one was able to or took the time explain that sex is sex and sex doesn't come hand in hand with love.
