Not withstanding the noise, the constant interruptions, the constant tug of battle between focusing on eating, and focusing on complex, well thought-out, intelligent conversations -- it's simply a lousy place to have a meeting.
Lunches are the desert of a hard negotiation. It's a time to relax, connect, build a rapport with the person you've been battling head-on for the past 2-3 hours. To smooth things over, and drink to celebrate over a newly minted mutually beneficial relationship. Or the solidification of an existing one. Laugh, smile, feel good.
Then go back, iron out the minor details and go back to your hotel.
... Then, you get suited to go out and bang some hot broads.
