When conducting deals worth millions and millions of dollars over lunch, where do you

I never do any business negotiations at a restaurant.

Not withstanding the noise, the constant interruptions, the constant tug of battle between focusing on eating, and focusing on complex, well thought-out, intelligent conversations -- it's simply a lousy place to have a meeting.

Lunches are the desert of a hard negotiation. It's a time to relax, connect, build a rapport with the person you've been battling head-on for the past 2-3 hours. To smooth things over, and drink to celebrate over a newly minted mutually beneficial relationship. Or the solidification of an existing one. Laugh, smile, feel good.

Then go back, iron out the minor details and go back to your hotel.

... Then, you get suited to go out and bang some hot broads.
not to mention if you're in shape, somewhat buff
"eating" makes a lousy nuetral environment

so I select strip clubs
we're all equally schmucks

Ok... the next one? How about the Scandanavian House inside Epcot Center? Yeah, that's right. We arrive, puchase tickets to go in just for lunch there, eat lunch and then leave within 2 hours of walking through the gate. We went to the resturant and then went back to the car. Nothing else.

That seems like an enormous pain in the ass just for a meal.....what with the parking, walking, ticketing etc............fug that.

Exactly. The most colassal waste of $60 I have ever spent. Actually I spent that x 5 of use. Just to walk in, go to the resturant, sit down and eat and then get up walk all the way back to the front and take the shuttle back to the car and leave.

have lunch?

Well this past week, I have seen it all.

First one was at Applebees. Deal worth 9 mil yearly. And they want to go to Applebees because of the parmesan shrimp steak.

Big-money deals should be going down in top-shelf steak houses, IMO.

every one our company has done in the US has happened in a conference room. How's that for weird?

There was an implied preface of "If the deal must happen in an eating establishment, THEN...."

Some of the biggest deals were struck/started by straight guys standing adjacent at public urinals.

Men are odd. Almost as much as the other species.

The deals struck by homos standing adjacent at the urinal may have more $$ ivolved though. Who knows.
