Politics? I don't think anyone here has a vested interest in clomid, or benefts from people not using it.
I recommend supplementing PCT with natural stuff but still advise using certain drugs when necessary. So it doesn't serve me to be against one drug and not another.
Since I was the lone "anti-clomid" guy from way back I'll take the stand. Any compound that acts as an estrogen (this includes nolva and certain natural substances such as DIM) works by occupying the receptor site thus not allowing estrogen to "dock." (An untechnical explanation but you get the idea). The problem is, it simply doesn't always work. In many cases, it just adds more estrogen and estrogen side effects. This is evidenced in the fact that some people feel like a "girly girl" while on it. Some guys get a surge in libido on clomid while others experience a drop in libido. it's a crap shoot. Other sides include moodiness, depression, blurred vision and fatique. According to Jerry Brainum, most pros no longer use Clomid. Many non pros have tried alternative PCT which included some natural substances and have recovered as well and in some cases faster and better than when using Clomid.
I don't know what you did wrong with your PCT but there are a lot of things that can go awry. Blaming it on HCG and a-dexor not using Clomid may not be accurate.
Bottom line: If Clomid works for you, use it. But it's not the sure fire thing it was made out to be. And using more doesn't necessarily work better. Using it with the right supps can shorten the duration it's needed. And for many cycles it may not be neccessary at all. Rememeber, the old timers didn't use it and recovered fine with no gyno, but they didn't do the cycles most guys are doing today.
Hey, at least it isn't as bad as Nolvadex.
