What’s the deal with Percocet?

I went to the hospital for the rib that I broke. They gave me a handful of Percocet there and wrote me a scrip for a jug of them. A few people (women actually) asked me if I had a wrap and what they gave me. I tell them Percocet and their eyes light up with their hands extended. What’s the deal with that? I just read that it’s a narcotic but I have taken about 12 of them so far and they do nothing at all for me. 2 pills at a shot. Haven’t noticed any “narcotic” feeling and no difference in pain. I stopped taking them because they did nothing for the pain. They are about a day or two from the garbage pail.

I am reading about its addiction. That it contains oxycodone which seems to be a problem. Am I missing something here? Why the hell would anyone get addicted to this?

And NO! I am not giving them away! They are going into the NYC dumps…

they're addictive and one of the more sought after prescription narcotics.....good idea to dump 'em if your not going to use them.....

Plus when she's not drunk (about an hour a day) she looks like more of a horror show then when drunk. Just looks aged to shit for 32. My motto "if no one is looking, WTF". But getting busted with her would not be a good thing. Not worth it. If I am going to get divorced it better be for a Natasha Henstridge.

The other 2 were more of a casual ask. You know the "oh give me some". The first was almost down my throat trying to pull the pill out.

Hang onto those pills. I can't tell you how many girls are willing to bang for pills, its amazing how low some girls will go....(not that I would do or condone this type of behavior, but it does happen )

your body masy not take the drud that well....I've taken like 7 or 8 valium when me and my boys went out drinking and it did'nt do shit to me....when they got messed one or maybe two...but I love the if no ones looking thing....

They probably just gave you the lower dosed percs. Most people are not aware that percs like most other drugs come in a low dose and high dose. People hear percoset and instantly think MAJOR BUZZ. Personally, a lortab 7.5 or higher gives me a bigger buzz than something with oxycodone. Lortab and some others contain HYDROcodone.

I was given Percosets when I had my wisdom teeth taken out last month. They lessened the pain for me and the dose was 1 tab every 6 hours. I had only a handful of them so I don't know if I could have become hooked.
