What’s the deal with Percocet?

Bro, everyone has a substance of choice (pc term lol). Even if you don't know what it is, there are some drugs that effect you in ways you'll like better than other drugs. I have friends who love benzos- xanax, valium, clonipin, ativan etc- who don't like opiates. Then again I know others who are just a opposite. Latamier brings up a good point. More than likely your percs are 5mg oxycodone/500mg acetaminophen. Anyhoo if you're not going to use em toss em, otherwise you'll have all kinds of new "friends" hanging around trying gank a few pills...

i got some 7.5/750 vic's here that don't seem to work as well as a lorcet 10mg for a "buzz" feeling. i drive for work....so they made me sleepy and i haven't messed with them again. i noticed a tolerance building up quickly for them though.

The Terminator is right on the money right now. Save those pills I wouldnt give them away I would sell them off to all your lady friends. Depending on what mg dosage they are you can get good money. I would go tell the doc you need some more. Selling off a bunch of them will give you some good money to put towards your next cycle.

percs are one of the most addictive drugs in the world (under herion) which is the feeling that these "narcotics" mimic. in the world of narcotics there are those that come from opium. which we all know so does herion. yes the pills you were given were probably big in comparison to oxycontin pills which are pure oxycodone in a higher dose 10 , 20, 40, 80 (the green ones) and yes for those of you out there that are druleing right now 160mg!! you chew one of those and your on cloud nine for the aft. the ones you recieved (im sure) are 5mg and also contian 500mg of acitamitaphine (sp) tylonal. the others do not and are timed release. but us junkies out there figured a way to get around the time release by chewing them, breaking them up and snorting them or yes even shooting them iv. in comparison to vicodin which contains hydrocondone or codine (not 100% sure)
from experience oxycondone feels way better than hydrocodone or codine. mg for mg. its also stronger. these are all examples of a group of pain killers called "opiates" which again are synthetically derived from opium. in laymans terms they are made in a lab and do not occur naturally like opium. or the poppy seed. theres and even stronger one out there that mg for mg is 80 times stronger than oxycodone called "finityl" (sp) many people have od. on this drug because it is difficult to figure out the proper dosage to "abuse it" if there is such a dosage. why do people get so addicted both mentally and physically? mentally because it makes you feel amazing - mimics the feeling of herion - never done that drug ( a little out of my leauge) but the basic feeling is the same. they say if you try herion once your addicted for life because it feels so good. for those of you who have tried percs (oxycontin) times that by 1000 are you just gettting into the herion ball park. people get physically dependent on these drugs because when you take them the drug binds to your opium receptors in the brain and your body stops producing its own natural pain killers (basically) so when you dont take the drug your body goes into withdrawal - which if anyone has experiecnced it would feel better to have your balls sawed off with a rusty saw blade. the only way to releive this hell is to take more of the drug, hence the cycle begins. at this point people are no longer taking the drug to get high but rather just to feel normal. not a fun life to live.
they say people who take the drug for what it is meant for - pain, rather than pleasure do not feel the "high" asscoiated with it and hence may not get addicted mentally. but the ball buster is no matter if your getting high or not if you stay on them for more than a couple of weeks straight your going to experiecne withdrawal wihther you like it or not. this is why doctors will "ween" you off them gradually, rather than stopping all at once which will lead to more severe withdrawal. the only advice i can give you is that if you dont absolutly need to take them for pain than dont , you will save yourself 1000's of dollars and maybe even your life. ive seen these things ruin marriges people loose their homes and all their possecions. thankfully for my self i tried them for a couplel of weeks and then my dealer went to gail so i could not get them any more - felt like shit for a week could not eat or get out of bed- not that i could sleep either. do your self a favor - toss them out.
