What lengths do you go to to save on gas? (if any?)

actually not anymore it isnt. these days, starting the car is about the equivalent of idling for roughly 20 seconds, and even less so if your car is already warmed up. so if you know the light will be red for longer than 20+ seconds, you're actually preserving gas by turning off the engine.

We're splittin hairs here. :)

and wtf is the big three doing making all these new gas guzzlers?
i don't get it...dodge's new lineup is nothing but high hp muscly cars/trucks

They have to plan new product lines years in advance. The big companies aren't agile enough to react quickly to changing market demands.

Smurfy, did you tell the hubby that you posted his car and all the comments received? lol

1)I'm not going to be using my dryer at all this summer, clothesline for everything.
2)I turn off the shower when I lather up
3)Always turn the heat off when I leave the house or at night.
4)Bought a manual transmission car (Mazda) getting about 30mpg+, and now looking into getting a Vespa motor scooter for in town driving.

I know you're referring to gasoline but thought i would share anyhow.

I walk or use public transport (don't own a car), though not because I give a toss about the environment / conserving petrol, I'm just a stingy fucker.
