I haven't had One in a long time.
I have gotten busted by a redlight camera though. I hate that shit.
 
I've had a parking ticket.

....and like 4 speeding tickets. Fml. In fact, I have a $268 ticket outstanding right now. :(

Speeding, going 45 in a 30 when I was 17 years old in my 79 Trans Am Bandit.
I'm now 34 and just have had a couple warnings. I usually don't drive like an idiot, I fog and don't really drink (hahaha you boozers..fog rulez for driving).
A couple of the warnings I did deserve a ticket but being a salesman myself I am able to BS my way out of alot of shit.

One time when I was about 22 I passed my friend in his car, at night, on a double lined road. A car started coming at me, it wasn't really that close, I had it no problem. The only issue? The other car was a State trooper, he found weed and a pipe on me, ripped through my car looking for crack or something moar. Scolded me and let me go. Made me throw my pipe in the woods and dump the fog in someones grass. Me and my buddy were spread out on his hood for a good 1/2 hr. He let us go, I believe he said he was on his way to the barracks for his shift. i don't think he wanted to take us to jail, plus I cried like a bitch telling I had a 2 y/o at home.
 
I had just gotten a new bike.

Hadn't gotten my motorcycle license yet
Had insurance
Temporary but illegible plate

Goosed it for a moment and got clocked at 93 in a 35. Cop was extremely cool and let me go. He even told me which was he was going, so I could go the other way (because of course he assumed I was waiting for a pickup).
 
I've had my share of stops/hassles, and fix-it tickets, but only a few real tickets...

Speeding (1 in 1986, and one in 2009)

Illegally-strapped load/hazmat (had no idea I was in the wrong; it was a TV set!!!!!) in 1987-88

Making a turn during posted "no turns" hours (Two of them; one my fault/deliberate, the other was on New Years Day where it said "No turn 8AM-3PM weekdays". It was a Monday, but New Year's Day for crap sakes...)

Some of the fix-it tickets include burned out bulbs, tinted windows, and dim license plate lights. The kicker of all, was when I got pulled over for being under 18 after curfew. I was THIRTY-SEVEN!!!! The cop was so embarrassed (about 18 himself), that he gave me a ticket for insufficient fender width. Cost me $10 fine and a day off work to go 100 miles to a junkyard out in San Bernardino to get a set of weird fender flares.

And the most recent one in 2010, was on Easter Sunday, and it was for tinted windows. I only got the ticket because the cop's name was a Muslim-ethnic name, and I wished him "HAPPY EASTER!!!!!". He's have shot me if there wasn't a camera on his dash.

All of this was in less than 12 month period when I was like 18-19. The reckless was for rocking a wheelie on my crotch rocket, but my pops knew the cop and talked to him for me and so he talked to the DA and they deferred the ticket for one year. (basically if I didn't get any traffic violations for a year it would be like it never happened). 36 hours later I got nailed with a 6 point ticket and ended up losing my license for 7 months. FML


Haven't gotten any tickets since then though.

well I've driven Beemurs for a while and do a lot of highway driving so I get pulled over a lot more than the average person. i would say 10 tickets total.

the last 2 times I got lucky though. we have some morons running the state in FL now and they passed a couple ridiculous laws now... in FL if you go 30+ over the limit you have to appear in court, $500 fine and possible loss of license for 6 months.. and if you go over 100+ you go to jail mandatory on the spot and they impound your vehicle.

well I hit 100 when i was passing a semi on a highway and i got the guy on my detector then i slowed down to 70 right away.. then a few seconds later i see the cop behind me with his lights on and i figure he will pull me over for speeding maybe going 80-85... well he starts cussing me out with spit coming out his mouth saying "you are going 103 and why shouldn't i take your ass to jail?" i apologize to him and he takes my license and info and goes to his car and I am packing my stuff ready to go to jail and then he comes back and says "you've got 8 tickets give me a reason not to arrest you" .. and i tell him "cause I am a good citizen and I'm sorry and will never do it again" ... he hands me my license and leaves with no ticket or anything. that was in my 3 series... i continue down the highway and i see him and 2 other cops on the side of the highway with a girls gone wild bus pulled over. and they are all laughing together.. so apparentally while he was checking my license he must have gotten a call about that bus so he let me go to go.. girls gone wild saved me !

then after I got my 1 series convertible about 3 months later i was on my way home at night on a 2 lane rural road, and this dude in front of me was going like 45 and i think he was drunk weaving around.. so i say fuck it let me pass him.. so i do.. well after i passed him my radar detector goes off and i slow down then i see a cop coming my way then turn around and pull me over. he gets me going 86 in a 55. i plead with him to just drop it a couple mph's so i wouldn't have to go to court but he wouldn't budge. i hire a laywer and the cop never shows up so i get it dismissed.

i will say because of my radar detector its saved me a lot of tickets over the years.. i would have easily 30 tickets cause i speed all the time. great for detecting state troopers but if you've got a sheriff by the time i get him on radar he already has me at peak speed.

with these new laws in place its pointless to own fast cars in FL anymore.. buddy of mine got caught in his Porsche going 130 on open road at night.. they threw his ass in jail overnite and he got a big fine. do it a 2nd time and you will lose your license for 6 months. i think they are harder on speeders than DUI's now in FL.

I never said they were anything special but they are fast cars and cops do look for them on the roads. obviously you do not know me well enough like others on here to think i give a damn about toys like that. I have a nice ass house, thats it.. i dont have fancy shit, or drink cappucino's or any of that wannabe shit. I work hard for my money to waste a G a month on a M or Porsche lease payment. I MAY get a new 1 series next year, but only if i can get a great deal, maybe you can hook me up? otherwise I have no problem driving anything... as long as its safe and gets me from A to B.

depends. I used to own a 3 series and I lost more money owning than if i would of leased it for those 3 years. plus the warranty expires after 4 years. trade in value sucks since they become obsolete so fast.

i don't see how you don't do leasing if its for suckers, wouldn't you make more money leasing out cars if that was the case?

i think buying or leasing a car if you do not get a good deal is for suckers all around. gotta be out of your mind to buy a new car MSRP plus taxes and interest. thats why next spring you are gonna hook me up with a good deal right? :)

i get endless tickets. photo radar is bs. i suspect i have some more coming. once i got out of a ticket tho cuz the cop thought i was a retarded. he actually laughed in my face when i told him why i was speeding
 
Red light cameras and speed cameras are banned in my state, thanks to an act of Legislature.

I've had a number of speeding tickets over the years, and got one Inattentive Driving ticket in 1995.
 
So far, I only got one speeding ticket and boy it was a doozie. I got off work late on a Friday and was in a hurry to meet my boyfriend. Cop pulled me over doing 104 in a posted 30 mph construction zone. Luckily, they weren't working. I got six points on my license and got bumped to the highest risk category with my insurance. Took me three years to get my points and insurance rates down. That was seven years ago. LOL I still have a heavy foot and I know my time is limited, but, until I get caught...

2 speeding tickets(13 yrs apart), 2 seatbelt tickets, and a DUI(7 yrs ago). Not too proud of that last one. Lesson learned!

Not true in PA, not sure about other states. I was lucky because the cop cut me a break and didn't suspend my license or issue the citation for me to take a special written examination on safe driving practices.

I don't go over 80 anymore. The highways around here are usually posted at 65 mph.

As Redshirt mentioned, I certainly wouldn't want to injure innocent travelers.
 
Been a licensed driver since '84 and no tickets yet.

*edit* I lied (Alzheimer's is a bitch). Photo radar caught me twice. Doesn't affect the license though as it's merely a photograph of the license plate and the ticket gets sent to the registered owner of the vehicle.

nothing that stuck lately. lawyer FTW. bt in the past I had 4 driving while suspended, several speeding tickets, reckless driving(speeding).
 
When i was 19 I had a date in the next town to pick upp a girl and we were going to a KiSS Concert ,I had only had my Boss Cougar Eleminator with the Shelby Package for about a little over a Yr, well i zipped down to Rhine <had tp pick her up in abbeville ,now rhine the Cops are usually sleeping after 10pm To headed out except i gave it a tad more gas shidting,and it barked the tires, the road ahead was a straightaway so i was prime game to open er up blasting down the Hightway slowly climbing above the 140 mark there was this arched Bridges ahead,I had to slown down for that or go airborne,Thats when they caught me, took my license and the offcier said you don't know what the speed limit is around here do you son, my reply was i didn't see no speed limit sign sir,his depudy jumped out and amost screaming Hell ! at the speed you were going i don't imagine you did.after all was said and done, i got a ticket (143 in a 35 mph Zone) went on my way but i was required to stop tomorrow nite in that town to pay the ticket, there they was as i drove away standing there dividing that cash (the whole wks pay 120,00 worth) among themselves.
after i bought my Z06 i wanted to see what it would do so i hadn't gone less than a mile when i opened it up went right bt a sherriff's car at 120MPH saw the break lights come on and i said hell no i climbed up to close to 175 after that i never saw him. that car ruined alot off my good laying back days into hairbenders!

i had a theory that cops thought noone was dumb enough to speed directly in front of the police station, and they would focus on other areas which therefor made me a genius for speeding in front of the police station cuz i wouldnt get caught. so i went like 85 in a 60 zone, slowed down to about 45 and blew through a stop sign turning right.well there was a cop hiding behind this big ass sign. when i told him this he thought i was so stupid he laughed in my face and let me go :(

I was 18 and went flying past the station racing another car. Cop (actually sheriff) walking out of the building hears/sees it and sprints for his patrol car. About 5 miles down the road i've slowed way down and am getting ready to turn when I see lights coming up on me fast as fuck so I pull over thinking noway anyone saw anything cuz i'm already so far away from where it began.

Cop comes up to my window screaming and yelling at me saying "give me 1 fucking reason why I shouldn't take you to jail right now!" I said, "uhh...cuz I don't want to go?" then he proceeded to try and get me to admit how fast I was going by throwing out arbitrary numbers. He ended up giving me a careless driving cuz he couldn't actually prove how fast I was going.

Got pulled over by the same cop a few months later only this time he was a city cop. lol

Assault and battery twice with my car. 10 speeding tickets, driving to endanger 8 times charged twice guilty. 2 dwi's, leaving the seen of a accident charged 7 times guilty non but did take a cwaf on one of them but 17 on that one. driving retraining school 3 times so far. Me and cars dont mix.

I've had three speeding tickets since I started driving...none in the past ten years though. They weren't big ones...all were for less than 30km (20mph) over the limit
 
5-6 speeding tickets, highest was 92 in a 55.
Illegal screeching/spinning of tires. "who doesn't and why is it illegal?"
Improper lane usage. "went around someone stopped in the road, wtf"
Disobeying a traffic signal. "I went through the crossing gates at a RR crossing." THAT is a steep ticket!!!

Ok have had the usual like everyone else here from 35+ over the limit to sound violations, tint, marijuana possession, etc.....but has anyone done 10 miles Going the wrong way down interstate at 5pm. Needles to say I spent a couple days in jail,DWI, and Hell of fines....trooper cuffed me so hard my wrist bled...cause I almost hit him. Made front page news and Lucky to be alive!
