I would say you would be dumb to buy a new car right now that doesn't get at least 40mpg. Buy a hybrid or something running on alt fuel because you will be ahead of the game. We are about to get punished on gas, trust me it is coming this summer. At 4.30 a gallon I wouldn't want to drive anything below 30mph very much. All the people who don't respect your hybrid will be drinking water at dinner because they will be so broke.

I could swing 1300 a month but It would look bad when everyone at my work is getting fired and we ppl who I talk to are mailing in there keys to the bank.

35-60g and you dont want to spend a ton on a car? what would you consider a ton? my SUV cost me 9g and im happy with it because even though its not the greatest in gas mileage the money i save from a $1200 car payment makes it worth it.
