In Seven when the guy who had supposedly died of a drug overdose suddenly wakes up. (I haven't been that scared since HG Peddlepusher showed me his gyno.)

Oh...and not one scene in "The Ring."

I've watched Se7en about 8 million times. I have both of the DVD releases of it. I love that movie. love it.

technically that was "Sloth" that you are referring to, and it wasn't a drug overdose - he was just malnurished and tortured over time so that he was a vegetable.
they used a really skinny actor with an oversized set of teeth prosthetic put in to make it look even freakier, and of course makeup.

yeah - the first time I saw that...

Been a while....I saw it in the theaters and had to take a Silkwood shower afterwards.

And now that I think of it, I thought Blair Witch was really scary. But not in a startling kinda way. More because it kept my anxiety level up throughout the movie, right up to the end.

I got to ask why? How could you like that movie? After seeing it, I said to my wife I wish I wouldn't have watched that. It made me feel horrible weird like dang that sucked. I mean the only thing I liked about the whole movie is maybe when the lawyer got torchered because well he was a lawyer. btw he(sloth) was shot up with a bunch of drugs.

he was shot up with antibiotics so that his bed sores wouldn't get too bad.

lol - it was just a movie dude. lawyers are people too. :)

anyway, I like it because I thought it was well written, I like the way it was filmed, and liked the characters or at least how they protrayed them.

plus, the idea of a serial killer killing that way is just damn cool. :)

I don't know at then end I was so pissed about what he did to that dudes wife. I wouldn't have just shot once I was shot him in all of his limbs including his little prick and then let him bleed to death.

Whoa, Nellie. Looks like Linda Blair was mixing business with pleasure when she was doing that scene? She sure dug that thing deep, didn't she?

I agree. in the kneecaps and elbows and then just kicked his face.

same thing for the snipers.

There was a movie that only old fuckers like me will remember. It was called Burnt Offerings and starred Karen Black. The Scene where she goes back into the house against her husbands wishes because it has become obvious that something strange is going on. After awhile the husband goes in after her and he sees the old lady in the rocking chair and asks where his wife is. She turns around real slowly and it's his wife and she has red demonic eyes and she says, "I've been waiting on you Ben." That was the scarriest scene is a movie I have ever seen. It still gives me chills.

Best horror movie I can remember seeing is "Thirteen Ghosts".

For those who havent seen it, there are 12 ghosts in this house, but they are trapped. They get set loose one at a time, and the way the ghosts are shown on camera kicks ass. They dont move normally like the people, so it makes it more scary.

The ghosts are invisible to the characters in the movie unless they have special "spectral viewer" glasses on.

The scene in the bathroom with the naked woman ghost with the knife is probably the scariest part.
