What Do Ya'll Think About Burn-Outs?

My traps grow real slow. And they never get sore. So Tuesday I decided to try burnout starting with 80'lb dumbells doing as many as I could and then drop 10lbs and then do as many as I could. I could only get to the 25lbs before I had to stop it was hurting like an SOB. But anyway my traps were actually sore yesterday and today. So do you think burnouts work and if they do how often should you do them?
 
Heres one.

This will sore you up for traps.

4 sets of heavy shrugs 6-8 rep range.

Then 4 sets of 1 1/2's
1 1/2 performed do 1 full rep, lower traps halfway and then squeeze to contraction again.
10-12 rep sets.

Next day, OUCH~~
 
Deadlifts always tear up my traps. Reverse flyes or bent over laterals work the lower and middle nicely also.
 
yeah burnouts are good....... but dont do them all the time or you will get burn out.

try doing them for like 2-4 weeks and then taking the same amout of weeks off that you spent doing them.
