I can bench press......

Hey what if you can bench 300lbs exactly? I'll just go ahead and put myself in the 300-400 club then. Hopefully I'll be at 315 next month.

been a long time since i maxed out, but i would have to say 365 right now.


there was a dude a grade below me in highschool, i watched him bench 405 when he was 18. he is 20 now and over 500. He has never juiced, and never will. He is now the linebacker for Arkansas State.

i know no one is gonna believe me, but my work out partner and good friend benchpresses 435... and its getting there... BTW
he weighs 179.. he is freekishly strong... i can tell you more stats if you want.. also hes 21..

didnt you post something about not maxing out? seems kind of silly to not max out....and then care about what other people can do.

anyone can bench press over 400 with out drugs....just a few years, a lot of eating, a good understanding of how to train the benchpress,and the composition of your upperbody (limb length, weak muscles etc etc).
 
I haven't done flat bench in a long time to max out with, but i can get 295 for 6 after I do 4 sets of incline balls to the wall. Probably the mid 300's @ a bodyweight of 190....

Tell us the stat of what meet he did it at..... that weight is a junior world record if it's true....
 
he didnt compete yet...hes goin to a meet in feb.. hes gonna take overall and his weight class


but he did break the IL state record for either his age or weight i dont remember, i wasnt there... but i think it was at a Viking meet or something.. im not into meets and stuff, so i dunno any names of meets... he was 16 , weighes 145 and benched 315, squatted 485, and deadlifted 565.. i shit u not...

someone prolly broke his record since then.. but when he goes to this one in Decator, he will take home at least 3 throphies...
 
I weigh 200, I usually do dumbell, I can hit 150's for 10 on flat, 150's for 6 to 8 on incline. I've done 405 on strait bar for 2 or 3. Havn't really trained on it that much.

Someone asked why I started the "poll" and its out of curiosity thats all. I agree, we should run another poll for squats or deads but then the squat crowd would be adding disclaimers like does parallel count, ass to floor, etc.

My comment about 450+ identifying juicers is just a joke. When I was in high school we had a guy who benched 405, and there are a few guys at the gym (I should say two) that put 450 up pretty easy.

Im not sure it matters much, just fun to see poll results.

It's decent weight, but my training is focus on bodybuilding more than strength. Both could be better.:)
 
235 in my flatbenching prime, hope i could still do that. I'm all about back and legs at the moment, trying to solidify my base for the upcoming lax season
 
well last time I maxed on Flat Bench was about last May i think and hit 400.. I have been training Westside since and am a helluva lot stronger now.. But i'd really hate to guestimate a number though without having actually hit it.
 
my incline strength and close grip bench strength have both increased significantly recently. in this time i haven't done any regular bench. i'm sure it's going to be more than before, but i wonder by how much...
 
Flat - PR is 315, currently 285
Incline - never maxed, but I could do 250 for 3
Squat - PR is 295, currently 275. It will be 300 in no time.
Dead - PR is 355, currently 335.

Lower weights as a result of cutting. Starting 5x5 today = my numbers will be much higher very soon.
 
I have no clue what my max is nor do I care but I can press 315 for 8 reps

Pushed 455lbs. No help lifting it off or putting it back. No lifting shirt, no straps or wraps.
