What are the best over-the-counter supplements to use to gain mass??

I have been using Simply Gain by EAS and I have put on ten pounds in the last month. It tastes ok and has creatine in it.

Again, Twitched, I thought I covered this, qand you say: "All that ATP shit is bull." Well, thanks, BUT, The creatine phosphate system one of the sources of araerobic energy in the human body. I'd like to know how you'd call that bullshit. You can't. I'm sure that you're a mildly intelligent guy, but, spouting rhetoric "bull", as you call it, with no proof just gets under my skin.

I think the fact that people have been supplimenting with creatine for years without any definitive answer on the question "Does creatine really help?" is proof enough that it does nothing signifigant.

There are a lot of 'processes' in the body that can be manipulated positively, sometimes they just aren't THAT signifigant in the greater picture.

If ATP synthesis was really a issue holding back development, then injectable ATP would have some kind of promise. Those who have experimented with it will know it's useless.

Do I think supplimenting with creatine effects ATP synthesis? Yes. Do I think it effects it in a way that is signifigant in terms of real results? No.

The burden of proof lies on you, the suppliment advocate, not me.

AH! the "burden of proof" twist. Well, that is a wonderful thing when applicable. However, I would wager that at least 7 out of ten people on this board would be willing to say that creatine has helped them if they've taken it. I think the burden ogf proof lies on you to prove those people wrong. Just ask the people who've taken creatine and anavar. Or the people who have used it w/ glutamine post cycle(I'm one of them). Prove us wrong.

I'm not denying it helps, I'm just denying that the help comes from a source other then leverage from water retention. Neither of us can prove either way, so it's kind of a worthless argument.

Post cycle it probobly works wonders in packing on water weight that is otherwise lost post cycle, but just delays the inevitable. It aint anticatabolic.

Twitched: BINGO! I couldn't have said it better myself.

Everybody else, follow me for a minute.

Just because creatine is needed to make ATP and ATP is nesessary for muscle contraction THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT MORE CREATINE EQUALS BETTER MUSCLE CONTRACTION!!! That's like saying that since vitaminB12 is also necessary for muscle contraction then the more B12 you take, the stronger you'll be. It just doesn't work that way, but that's the angle the supplement companies use to sell you this crap.

Him1: I'm not asking for anything I say to be taken for gospel. Hell, you can waste as much money as you want. What do I have to gain by telling you to SAVE your money? I've worked for a supplement company. Some people might appreciate the information. There's plenty of space here, don't worry. Try and be honest with yourself for a moment; How do you know creatine works -- because you want it to? ? Lifting weights works too, you know. I love your next statement:"Ask the people who have taking creatine with ANAVAR." Do you realize how ridiculous that is? I can take M&M's with Anavar and make great gains!

dan d: Two words -- extra calories.

T20: You say that 2-3 grams spread throughout the day works? I will bet you $1000 right now that if you took 2-3 grams a day for 6 weeks it won't make one bit of difference. I can't lose. The tests are in folks. Just don't wait for the supp companies to tell you what they are. Oral glutamine in trained athletes has NO EFFECT!
Deal with it.

The fact of glutamine not being effective I can accept. It was the statement of taking pizza and water to get the same effects as creatine. Well the water I would retain from the pizza would not be stored inside the muscle thus providing me with no added benefit. While creatine (as has already been stated) provides water inside the muscle thus providing benefit for bursts of power. While I do agree that it is "iffy" as to whether or not the increased poundages lifted from the creatine will cause any addition of real lean tissue, but if you are lifting heavier it makes sense that the body will regenerate more muscle mass to compensate for the heavier work loads it is being asked to perform (if provided with adequate calories).

Sorry Nelson but if your pizza comment was meant as an attempt at sarcasm it was apparently lost on me (and several others as well). I just figured that with you promoting a book here and all that you would maybe be thinking a little more seriously before throwing stuff out there.

Of course food is the answer here. And if you want the biggest bang for your buck in that department, the answer would be ORGANIC EGGS -- maybe the most anabolic substance on earth, short of drugs.

Where would I find me Organic Eggs?
