Well after 10 hours in the ER

Im home

you boys and girls were right,I had to get my ass to a doc,this morning I could barely move,got to the hospital urine sample done and more blood then fucking urine.

turns out I had a 4.7mm kidney stone working its way out,they think I passed it sometime today so after being on iv and on pain meds im home and the big stone is gone, apparently I got a small one on the other side but since I passed the large one this will be a breeze.

thankfully my girlfriend stayed with me today,kept me company,and the baby is always good for a laugh so that was nice.

anyway just thought id update you guys

4.7mm??? Bro that's huge!! you must have been ready to pass out from the pain! I passed a couple tiny ones and it was brutal, I can't imagine one that big! :worried:

the worst part of this pain is its that fucking restless pain,all you can do is roll around in agony,I honestly was screaming for fucking drugs,throwing up and shit.

I never want another one of those fuckers, cant wait till the lil one makes its journey through.

eatbig-we dont know when I passed it because I got moved from a room to the fucking hall and I couldnt filter my urine so no keeping it lol,i totally woulda though
 
glad things worked out, a guy came to work today with one in agony...I hope he gets better, he was in serious pain. I told him to go back, they scheduled an appointment in like a week!

they think it could have been a combination of dehydration,ive been working construction not drinking enough, and poppin tums like crazy because I dont have time to eat so when I do drink I get mad heart burn from having an empty stomach,plus it runs in my family.

and no I dont have a kid,its my girlfriends kid,but daddy isnt in the picture so I might aswell be

He is from Russia, I pleaded with him to go to Mass General, I think he said his was like 3 mm which is smaller, he was keeled over most of the day...hopefully it passes.

i bet even 3 is fucking killer, 5mm is the max before the go right into operation,and apparently taller guys can pass bigger stones,so my doc was suprised I passed a 4.7 at 5'6

well luckly i was takin pain meds at the time for my back so it wasnt as bad. but that shit still was one of the worst pains of my life.

all kinds of stuff, too much outside sources of calcium,like tums or calcium supps, dehydration, it can run in your family aswell, those are the big three causes

My mother had serious kidney stone problems. I know the kind of pain you mean. Puking & stuff. Her stones got so big, they had to operate & remove parts of her kidney.
Good advert for drinking lots of water.

I was definately suprised the baby didnt get cranky,he was up most of the time,hardly cried at all,once the fuckers kicked me out of the room it was a pain to feed him,but she just went to the washroom

I ended up marrying my girlfriend who had a 7-year-old boy at the time.

his dad IS in the picture, but only a weekend a month plus 8 weeks in the summer.

so now is like our mini-honeymoon/vaca from the kid time.

There's the culprit bro, the TUMS. Too much calcium is a recipe for kidney stones.

Drink lots of Fluids all the time.
Frequent Dehydration is one thing that will cause the salts/calcium to come out of suspension and create crystals and then stones.

My 14 yr old daughter passed a 7mm and a 6mm recently..
Yes, I have a pic of the beast post passage.

Thank goodness she was on IV dilaudid at the time.

Ouch....that sounds like pure hell. I'm glad I drink a ton of water, because there's a lot of calcium in all the protein shakes I drink.

pain was on and off,but the stretch that landed me in the hospital was 7 hours
