I've gone to the bars a couple of times (I don't drink but I don't really know anyone here besides my coworkers, and barhopping is all they do), and gotten to talking/flirting/dancing with several girls. I shit you not, the majority of girls here over 21 are married. I've never seen anything quite like it. They hang out at bars w/ their girlfriends and deflect guys. Where I'm from I know one person my age who's married (well, two I guess - I know his wife too

). The closest I've come to a piece up here was when an engaged girl who I met at a bar texted me that night at 3:30 am. I missed it 'cause I was asleep, and I'm not sure I could bang another dude's fiance anyway. Sad, huh?
Re: cardio. I could see intervals happening. I'm really not happy about having love handles. I don't mind the gut nearly as much as the handles, which seem to be a function of aging as they seem to be disproportionate to my stomach.

Week 1 -- FRIDAY
Upper Body
Push-press warmups, 185x3x8, 225x1
-The weight was easy but I'm definitely not accustomed to this much work. This weight was a joke at first but was tougher by the end. I was taking ~1.5 minutes between sets.
Chins palms in - BWx6x2
-Not quite to failure but close.
CGBP pyramided to 255x5
-not too bad. I would like to get 315 before I switch excercises, but that may be optimistic. I got silly strong on these when I was on gear (got 275x12 and 325x8) so I hope 3 plates is realistic natty.
Hammer curls 40'sx5, 55'sx5x2
Decline situps BWx15x2
-I did these fairly explosively - I whipped myself back, hit the brakes hard, and went up quickly. I would think that this would be better for functional carryover to my important lifts.
I think I will be organizing my training a little differently. Push-press followed by CGBP is kinda tough on my shoulders. I think I'm gonna switch to push-press followed by dips, and on my other day I'll do incine DBs followed by CGBP. This week was a light week with only two days as I pushed my dead and squat pretty hard during the preceding 3 weeks.
