BPP:
I've now had several guys who've been into gear tell me pretty much the same thing you're saying, about how guys way-back-when never worried about all this anti-estrogen stuff, and the sky didn't fall. I don't have any opinion about that, other than to say that one ignores the voice of experience at some risk!
But, I think Chesty's point about continuing the anti-e going for awhile post cycle is a good one, as is WCP's point about getting your nuts back up to snuff. I've been instructed that a course of Nolvadex or teslac during and for a few weeks after the cycle, and a course of HCG (10 days) and clomid (following 14 days) after a cycle, will pretty much take care of you. There's an added expense there, but not much else of a downside that I can see.
You also have to take into account that avoiding gyno is only one of the reasons for all this anti-estrogen paraphenalia. Other reasons, good ones, I think, are to avoid gaining water weight as well as female-pattern fat deposition during a cycle. Anti-estrogens "inhibit gains" a little, but the gains they inhibit (mostly water and fat) are the kinds you'll lose later, anyway.
Good topic, BPP, and a fun debate! Bump it up and keep it going.
Be well, be happy, and lift heavy, bros.
