Umbillical Hernia Surgey Results - aka Outty Belly Button

Ok, I have been lifting and pushing my abs for sometime and over the past year I noticed my belly button start to grow.. Turns out it was an umbillical hernia..

I had the surgery 4 weeks ago and everything is just about back to normal. All you guys that have outty belly buttons getting bigger, it is probably a hernia and your health insurance will cover it...just find yourself a general surgeon.

If you have any questions, pm me..

Overall the surgery was quick, but you can't workout for a good month...but you can eat like a pig if you want.

I was on perceset for the first few days.. what a wierd pill but fun.. wish I didn't run out :)

I see a few guys at the gym with the same problem, just thought I'd let you know it's not a big deal.

Thanks for sharing your experience bro. I think that is what makes this sight great is ppl who have experiences and are willing to take the time to let other guys who are going through the same thing know they arent alone. Hope the recovery goes well for you and best of luck!

got any pics of what it looks like?

I'll snap some shots, but I didn't have it bad, just a small piece of my button was coming out, but it got worse when I would do crunches.

Now it's about 4 weeks later and it is complete back to an inny and my stomach looks good..

They put a screen just above the button so that it can't ever pop out again.

I noticed a few guys at the gym that wear short shirts and looks like they have the same thing I had but worse. Easy op and looks 10 x better

Even if your not in pain, the insurance will cover it.

I have the same thing. Happened about a year ago. There's no pain and I didn't think you could do anything about it. Four weeks sounds kind of long for recovery. I figure you can do ab work but what about other stuff?

Also, what kind of doctor do you see for this?
