Could they blatently promote Right guard and Xyience a little more?? The shots of one of those ugly bastards putting on right guard makes me want to go right out and buy some!! First season was much better then this one.

You can't blame the UFC for trying to put some money in their pockets. They need to start making some cash or they will never get off the ground. The only reason why the UFC has not taken off the way Pride has to do with Politics and nothing else.
Pro Boxing has a lot of money and power, a lot of state athletic comissions have banned NHB under preasure from Pro Boxing. Unless the UFC starts making some money so that they can afford to pay they fighters more money and attract new fighter, they will never have the amount of talent and big names like Pride does.

You can shit on the UFC all you want, but they are doing their best to survive in a country that is ran by Money and Politics. Boxing and Pro Wrestling are really scared right now, that NHB can become as big here as it has in Japan.

Hey guys I finally got around to watching a Pride event. It was the Bushido Tournament 2005 that just happened back in September. I was very impressed and recognized one guy, Phil Baroni, that I had seen fight in UFC before. I've never seen anyone so arrogant as Phil and seeing him lose to that guy after talking so much shit was sad.

A couple of questions I had that I'm sure can be easily answered. One thing I noticed elbows are not allowed, however you are allowed to stomp your opponent? This is not allowed in the UFC correct? Secondly, I noticed almost no blood the entire tournament whereas in the UFC, the mat is usually covered with blood after a few fights. Do the pride fighters have thicker padding over their fists than the UFC?

Yeah , as soon as I saw that he thought the Invisible Chair was a Joke my ears Perked Up , then when I saw himn using the Iron Bags and doin Chi Gung I was like "Heres their Sleeper !"

Snarling : Yeah , its the elbows . Too bad , thats the ONE rule I wish they would change in Pride , BUT it DOES keep the Fighters ready to go again fast .
