Ok.. the face of Chris Gignac..

I moved away to a small shithole in Quesnel British Columbia.. probably the armpit of the world for a lucrative business opportunity.

Anyhow, I didn't even have any furniture was promised a fully furnished place..

So this guy was like a fucking saint.. I ended up living with him.. because my boss.. was a realitive of his mother.. lived with him for about a month and half.. he helped me move into my place when I got it.. which I had managed to furnish.. with coaches.. was the best friend any guy could ever have.. the most popular guy in that town, and he went out of his way to make me feel welcome, and I did, and I had a blast with him.

I literally hung out with this guy probably every night for about 4 months straight.. until one day.. I just wanted to chill solo for a bit.. (he'd even bring his super hot gf over to hang out with us, what a champ)

so I was hanging out by myself for a couple of days, working and just chilling.. I was going to give him a call.. but I didn't.. and that night he went 4x4ing with chad and duncan.. ended up getting flipped out of the jeep long story short.. the jeep landed on his chest.. and killed him.

we had a gathering at his parents place, all his friends and family and stuff, and during the fire they took a picture of us, a group of us, and there was this very bizzare bluish white glow beside one of our shoulders, kinda looked like him..

Anyhow the imagine of his smiling face (this dude was friendly as hell and enjoyed everyday of life) sometimes keeps me awake, because I always think what if I would have called.

I wish I knew how to ask for (and accept) help. I was taught to be too hard. Sometimes I'd like to be able to crumble like my friends do. But it is too late for that.

I don't carry a doctorate. I never went to first grade. I was always a year younger than everyone in my class. When I was in high school I was enrolled in 12 hours of college, therefore; eliminating half of my freshman year. I entered my 2nd semester in college just after I turned 18 (birthday is in July). I went through 3 years of school to get my bachelor, and graduated at the age of 21. I was a full time student year round for my bachelor. I applied and got accepted to the master's program before ever graduating with a B.A. I was burnt out on school but so in debt if I quit I would be broke for awhile. Worked my ass off and finished my masters in a little over 2 years. I have worked in the field since I was 18 years old. Started doing crappy paper pushing work and worked my way up to where I am now. I had minimial social time while I attended school and, I admit, it sucked but as I look back on it I am glad I did it. I love my job, somedays, and I make more money than I ever expected to at my age.

Who you perceive me online is completely different than how you would perceive me in person. I talk a lot of trash online, just like everyone, because it's funny to me. I am more of a lover outside of the online world. I would not classify myself as emotionally distant.

I am prepared to get my ass kicked for the next 5 yrs. I'm doing a program that is for both the Masters/Doctorate. I'm a bit nervous but also excited. :)

Yes
Big traumatic event in my life - I couldn't concentrate on work and I was too proud to get help.
It all worked out for the best though.

LOL. I was arguing with a person who said that. After taking the research methods courses and stats courses, I definitely believe it is a HARD science. For sure.

Come on now, I wouldn't be going for my Doctorate if I thought that, now would I?

I love how my friends use to make fun of me for going into psychology and how it was a female thing and how easy it was.. now they don't say much about from their cubicle seperated offices barely making enough money to pay their rent.. karma!

if it is so easy why don't more people do it? It is one of the top 10 paying jobs in America

Most of the "worst" things I've said online I don't have access to anymore, and believe me, I'd have to pour over some of the flames I've volleyed to give you the "one" that was the worst.

I agree! To me, the more I learn about psychology the harder it seems to be! Part of the difficulty is because when you help people or go into a profession of helping people, EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT so you have to be extremely creative.

I have never heard ANY professor of Psychology (and at my school there are TONS who publish in scholarly journals, papers, etc) say that Psychology was easy or any less difficult than anything else.

It's a challenge and I am totally looking foward to it.

Hmm.. I cannot remember! It's so weird to say this but I never fought much. It would probably be something in middle school - something stupid. But in high school I never fought with my friends and my best friend and I never had one fight.

I have to think more.... but I truly cannot remember.

I fall down a lot - so that isnt even embarassing anymore.
One time I walked through wet cement. The guys who had just laid it were screaming at me to stop but I was just spaced out and didn't even notice until it was too late.
