TrueLiberal At the Shooting Range

I have 11 handguns right now, and have to agree that the XD-M is nearly perfect for concealed carry. I have it in a couple calibers, but mostly carry the .9 for comfort. .9mm is plenty of stopping power unless your assailant is wearing body armor...which is unlikely.

I do like my glock 17 and my revolver .357 mag, but only for sport really. If we are strictly talking concealed carry, the Springfield .9mm is the winner.

SD, don't get too proud on Texas gun laws, we get fucked too. Any time your weapon shows through clothing it is considered 'printing' and is grounds for arrest and a lifetime forfeiture of your CHL. Pretty good incentive to not be a fat bastard in tight clothing.

I also have a few Class 3 firearms so if any of you democrats are ever in East Texas, I'll let you shred up some cinder block targets with a FA and see if it doesn't change your mind on gun control. Bring a change of underwear.

40 cal...

one consideration is size of the weapon and are you going to carry it concealed or just in your night stand or safe..

if you are protecting against home invasion a hand gun is not the 1st choice due to over penetration of the rounds..

the smallest that i've purchased is a taurus pt40 slim, it's the exact same size as the 9mm but you get the ability to actually stop someone..

I keep a modified Judge on my bedstand. LED and laser. No way can you say that isn't the best home protection weapon, and it's a handgun...
Not a conventional one, but still effective.

I saw a .40 yesterday that was so small it looked like a toy, just can't remember who makes it right now. Inexpensive too.

I am considering buying a Mossberg 590 A1 for hunting and home defense. I think I can switch the barrel. The only problem I have with a shotgun for defense is that it requires two hands to operate. I like that buckshot doesn't overpenetrate, but If I get hurt and can only use one hand I want the handgun.

For carry I am looking at hammerless revolvers.

I'm going to shoot a Glock 21 soon. I'll probably buy Either a Sig or a Glock depending on which I shoot best. I also want a laser sight and flashlight mounted.

Last on my list is a Mosin-Nagant M91//30. I love those surplus military rifles. They are cheap, reliable, and the ammo is abundant and inexpensive.

I have a saiga .223 that I machined open the magwell and added a custom machined bullet guide, so it could use regular 30 round AK mags. I also added some custom wood furniture. I can't decide if it's going to be my driving gun, my home defense gun or my TV watching gun.

Liberal another fun fact about ma gun laws only 5 k rounds allowed per caliber in a household and 20 k max in a house doesn't get you very far in the zombie apocalypse

Love my Glock g22 is my carry. Sd did you get a gen 4? If you did how do you like the grips on it.

Grips are dope. I took off the optional backstraps all the way to its smallest grip and it handles and carries like a dream. also cuts down on slide bite when firing since the palm is further under the bottom of the slide for better clearance of the slide when its kicking back over your grip.

Yea I know about printing I was referring to the hoops everyone else has to jump through to initially get a CHL
